REDOX TOO Part 3 of 3: Sculder reappears at the FBI who want to
know who the body is in his apartment. It turns out that Spinner withheld the
information that the man was murdered, prompting Sculder to trust him despite
Mully's assurances that he is the mole. Mully is seriously ill and on the brink of death,
Sculder thinks he has no cure but someone soon sets him right. It is the Pipe Smoking
Man, who has gone against the Posh Club after their betrayal to him.
He guides
Sculder to a microchip which could lead to Mully's remission and then, to further gain
his trust, arranges a meeting between Sculder and his long lost hamster. He offers the
agent a deal, to leave the FBI and work for him to know the truth. But Sculder refuses,
he no longer believes in aliens and UFOs only a conspiracy by the government and
threatens the Pipe Smoking Man's life.
Back at the FBI, Section Chief Duckman
encourages him to name Spinner as the mole at the next panel meeting. Whilst
Sculder is at that meeting, Mully's condition does not improve and she turns back to
her faith and calls the family priest to pray with her. Sculder names the mole... as
Duckman. Shocked, the Section Chief escapes the meeting but is shot dead. At that
moment, the Pipe Smoking Man is shot in his apartment by a Posh Club assassin for
betraying the group. But not everything dies, Mully's cancer goes into remission.
PUSHY MOTHER: Mully's mother organises a family dinner to celebrate her
daughter's cancer remission. However, in preparing the Kumquat Surprise she
accidentally unleashes a murderous Egyptian spirit with the power to bend peoples
minds. It possesses her and it isn't long before she's on a rampage around Washington
DC. Mully calls Sculder and the two of them try to hunt her down before she 'pushes'
more people.
Sculder heads to the Tone Deaf Swordsmen whilst Mully and Spinner
organise a manhunt. The two agents meet up at a Mega Mart where Mrs. Mully is
holding up the staff (literally, in some cases.) The agents try to reason with her but
she threatens to kill them if they don't let her be happy... by marrying each other. But
before the service goes ahead, the Tone Deaf Swordsmen arrive with the information
needed to trap the spirit once again, ready for the next generation of fruit eaters.
Watch those bananas, they could be deadlier than you think...
PROPHECY WOMAN Part 1 of 2: Sculder and Mully meet
Cassandra Spencer, a mad woman who claims to know details of the conspiracy and
who has an FBI agent for a son seemingly intent on keeping the agents from her. She
warns them of forthcoming danger. Sculder refuses to believe, but Mully's opinions
are turned upside down by a subsequent mass burning to death of abductees in the
town of Xmas.
A similar burning of test subjects occurs in Tungaga, where Marita
Unablonder and Alec Bicep have gone to retrieve the vaccine to the alien virus and
destroy the Russian experiments. Marita betrays Bicep and the Posh Club by stealing
away one of their test subjects, a small boy, to give to Sculder. However, she makes a
critical error and becomes infected with the alien virus herself.
However, the boy
escapes and finds Sculder who, meanwhile, is trying to find Mully and Cassandra who
have both disappeared. Later, Mully is mysteriously guided by her implant to a dam
and joins Cassandra and other abductees for a mass gathering. But without warning
the group is set upon by strange faceless men, bearing flamer wands...
THE END OF THE BEGINNING Part 2 of 2: Sculder arrives at the
site of the latest apocalypse, and finds Mully has survived. He is also confronted by a
face from his past, Agent Danger Cowley, who offers to investigate the boy. Another
face from the past, the Pipe Smoking Man, has turned up alive and The Posh Club set
him the task of getting back the boy and covering up the events. The Pipe Smoking
Man, however, has other ideas and sets off to the FBI to confront his son, Jeffery
Spencer.
Meanwhile, Mully undergoes hypnosis and remembers the cataclysm on the
dam, including the faceless men whom the Posh Club conclude are alien rebels trying
to sabotage bids for colonisation. Sculder refuses to believe but is accosted Bicep who
informs him of the Posh Club's findings. Bicep is working under orders from the
Nicely Waxed Man, who believes the Rebels are going to stop colonisation and wants
to side with them. The Posh Club disagree when they try out the Russian vaccine on
Marita Unablonder and discover it is only semi-effective and needs modifications.
Mully, meanwhile, finds out that Sculder and Cowley have known each other for
years and that she was there when he discovered the Hex Files. Sculder's attempt to
expose the truth fails, and whilst he is AWOL the Pipe Smoking Man steals back the
boy, critically wounding Cowley in the process. Jeffery Spencer uses the opportunity
to discredit Sculder and Mully, and Spinner informs them that the Hex Files may be
closed for good. That night, the Pipe Smoking Man enters the agents' office and sets
Sculder's life work on fire, seemingly destroying his search for the truth...
