MR. HEX
Sculder's most mysterious informant has been shrouded in intrigue since he first
approached the agent offering answers and casual violence within the same
conversation. Although Sculder is unaware of his allegiance, it's a sure fire bet that
since he's an informant on this show he's working with the Posh Club in some way or
another. Mr. Hex's skills are diverse, from providing data from top secret projects to
looking cool in a trenchcoat. However, despite apparent classiness, Mr. Hex is
probably only a big sissy and is best
avoided.
Mr. Hex first approached Sculder shortly after the disappearance of Mully, informing
him that he would provide him assistance when his situation became most dire. Soon
afterwards, Shallow Throat was murdered and the Hex Files were closed. Mr. Hex
came out of the shadows once again to assist Sculder and Mully's covert
investigations. (Restoration)
It was a tip off from Mr. Hex which led Sculder to the site of a UFO landing and
irrefutable proof of alien life. (Symbols) He offered no explanation
for his actions other than claiming that he was following the work
of his predecessor and wanted to ensure the Hex Files remained open: an aim in which he succeeded. (Les Visteurs)
However, what Sculder and Mully didn't know was that Mr. Hex was a long term
associate of the Posh Club and the Pipe Smoking Man. And that his secrecy was not
just to protect Sculder's investigations, but also his own life from the Posh Club.
Therefore he was reluctant to assist Sculder find an alien healer when the Pipe
Smoking Man had ordered him to destroy the entity at all cost. However, he did so
and it was a choice which proved to be fatal. (Cabrit Sans Cord)
Mr. Hex's secret alliance with Sculder became exposed when he continued to help
him locate the healer, and then furthermore warned him about
the impending death of Mully (Black Death) Upon finding out, the Pipe
Smoking Man ensured he paid the ultimate price, falling into a trap set by the Posh
Club and being gunned down outside Sculder's apartment... X-Files Equivalent: Mr. X
