She couldn't believe that Iris was gone. How would she ever make it through? She turned her head on the blue cloth of her pillow. The red numbers on the clock read 10:11 a.m. At least there was no school today as it was closed for repairs.
What was she doing here? She had to find Iris. Slowly, she got up.
"Time to do some investigating." Her eyes flickered to the newest edition of her comic collection. "Sailor Moon style!"
It took her less than ten minutes to pull on her marroon sweatshirt and blue jeans, fix her hair, and make her bed.
Ree grabbed her transformation pen and ran down for breakfast.
Her parents were not home, which was not unusual. She wasn't certain how to do this. It was only her third day as a Sailor Senshi-or Sailor Scout as they were called in America. Ree laughed at that. Americans were so uptight.
When she was finished with her toast, she jumped out to run to the scene of the crime!
But then her eyes found the newspaper.
Ree never read the news. If she ever even touched the paper she'd just flip to the comics or classifides. However, she was a sailor senshi now. Better make sure nothing happened overnight.
The school was on the front page. There was a giant picture of one whole side of the school-the side where she fought Mist-completely destroyed.
Twenty-seven deaths were reported. No one Ree really knew, but then she was kind of a loner. The only two people she ever hung out with were absent that day.
She sighed and flipped the page. It was a story from London. Sailor V had caught another criminal.
Taking a newfound interest in her fellow senshi, she carefully studied the small colorless picture. And there, standing by her ankle was a little white cat with a cresant moon shape upon it's forehead.
"Amazing, this cat must be one of the guardians Iris was talking about." She set down the paper. "Iris...."
She had to get back to the school. She headed immediatly to the door. She just had to fing poor little Iris!

Her eyes opened and slowly she got up and yawned--forgeting for an instant where she was. It was then she looked up and saw the metal roof of her tiny cage.
A laugh sounded in the distance and a figure formed in the darkness.
Krystillia!
"So Iris, dear, you are awake?" She winked.
Iris cocked her head.
"Don't look so surprised. I figured you could talk and you were her's." She came up and taped her finger on Iris' velvety forehead.. "This cresant moon bald spot kind of gave it away." She stepped back and laughed again.
Turning, she rose up her arm. "Razer! Come to me."
Out of the shadows came a giant, black dog. No, it was more wolf-like. A wolf. It's eyes were large, emerald green.
"My pet, my precious pet." She walked up and lay her cheek against the soft fur of his pretty muzzle. "Sailor Earth can not hurt you. You are the most skilled of them all." She turned her gaze towards Iris. "Go now. Go kill Sailor Earth."
Razer stepped away to do her bidding.
"Oh, Razer...." He stopped short. "Retrive for me a bit of energy so Lord Jade does not grow suspicious."
Razer jestured in acknowledgment then continued on his way.

Finally she made it into the school. It was hard, there were police everywhere who would absoultly not let her pass.
Looking around, she found nothing. No clue no anything.
Ree sighed. She wasn't very good at this. Suden footsteps in the halls gave her cause for alarm.
She looked around and found she was standing next to a doorway. It was a bathroom, but she went in without thinking.
The bathroom was in pieces. Shattered glass carpeted the floor, doors were hanging from there hinges and toiet bowls had been ripped from there places.
It was then that she realized it was the men's room that she had entered.
Oh well, didn't really matter anyway.
Ree sighed again. She really was going nowhere fast.
The footsteps grew louder.
From her pocket she pulled out her transformation pen. Staring a the grey jem a top the shinning stick of metal, she wondered why this had happened to her. Looking deeper and deeper into that crystal she found her answer. She--Protecter of Earth. Earth! She raise her pen high.
"Earth, I vow to protect you at all costs. Earth! I am the Sailor Senshi of the planet Earth...Power...Make-up!"
Once again the ribbon surrounded her, clothing her in teal and grey. Once again she became Sailor Earth.
She opened the door.
The young girl before her gasped in shock, for she saw a beautiful lady, older than her, dressed as Sailor Moon. Only, this senshi's hair was red and her suit was teal. She could not breathe.
Sailor Earth looked at her. What was this girl doing here? She had thought it was a police officer or fire person, not a 12 year old kid.
The kid had long bushy blond hair and big blue eyes. "Wow...."
Sailor Earth smiled and winked.

Clara stood unmoving. She blinked her eyes. Shaking her head she started after the senshi who had just passed.
Where had she gone?
* * * * * *
Razer knew she was here. He could feel her energy.
No, forget about energy, he'd get that after her took care of Sailor Earth.
He snorted and knelt behind a corner. No one else was around. He listened.
Scilence.
Footsteps sounded in the distance.
Razer prepared his attack. There was no possible way she'd escape.
* * * * * *
Ree knew exactly what to do.
The monster was right below her. She would get him before he even knew what had happened.
But Iris! Oh shit, how will this work? If she killed the monster....
* * * * * *
Razer's eyes followed the shadow's movement with intense concentraition. He could smell her.
He let his jaw drop and pulled up his lip. Licking the soft fur of his warm muzzle he crouched lower.
He saw her now out of the corner of his eyes.
* * * * * *
Clara was not liking this. She could not find that girl anywhere. It was already noon and she was getting hungry for lunch.
Odd...she had a strange feeling of being watched.
Razer pounced, knocking down his victon and landing his big paws upon her fragil back.
She screamed.
What had happened? Sailor Earth looked down from her place upon the roof. Razer had moved and was attacking someone.
Someone familular....
* * * * * *
Her stomache to the floor, Clara's eyes widened with pain and shock.
What happened?
There was a terrible pain like two weights upon her back accompanied by soft snarling noises.
She reached down into the pocket of her cobalt sweater.
"That's enough!"
Clara looked up. It was that senshi!
Razer jumped at the sound of her voice. He had thought the girl below him now, was Sailor Earth. She had a feeling unlike any other human he had ever met, something close to Krystillia's. How could she not be the senshi?
Nevertheless, he would drain her life energy.
Clara felt her whole self weaken. Like her very soul was being drawn out of her body.
She winced, but continued her strech ever deeper into her pocket.
Ree didn't know what to do. If she killed this wolf she killed Iris. But if she let him live, he would drain the life energy from that poor girl. And her death would be on her hands.
Razer stepped down one paw from the small gril's back. He must be prepared for Sailor Earth.
With one of those awful weights lifted, Clara had enough strength to twist her back around, almost facing that giant monster.
Pulling out her hand from her pocket she revealed a rather large pocket knife.
Razer's gaze was so focused upon Sailor Earth that he did not notice Clara's lunge until the pain swimed of crimson and trickled down his chest.
"No! Wait! No, no!" Ree yelled, running forth. "You don't know...."
Razer lifted his leg from her in pain.
Clara forced herself up. Gaining her strength back she lunged again at that great beast's chest.
Ree's eyes filled with tears. Iris! Her blurred vision caused her to view a faint purple light eminating from the young girl's forehead.
Razer fell back, too shocked to howl, to pained to move.
Clara slashed again at the ever widening gash of flesh and crimson.
Iris!
There was a soft glow of light suddenly behind them as Krystillia made her enterance.
"Damn you."
