Epsilon 3 in Babylon 5Epsilon 3 is part of a solar system which orbits the star Epsilon Eridani. The Earth Alliance space station Babylon 5 trails Epsilon 3 in it's L5 point. The planet itself was once thought to be a geologically inactive, unihabited ball of rock, however it was later learned that Epsilon 3 housed a large computer device known as the Great Machine. Powered by the mind of a humanoid this Great Machine maintains control of the planet, as well as monitors the surrounding space. The Great Machine has existed for nearly 500 years.Epsilon3 in #Babylon5Uchuukichi Itsuno, aka "Kichi" is also known as Sailor Epsilon. Her job is to watch over the planet Epsilon 3 and to keep an eye on the space station that follows it around all the time. She likes to talk and help out people, just don't get her mad or she may get violent. In reality Epsilon3 is a bot. A bot is a special program designed to perform certain functions on-line. In this case Epsilon3 protects the IRC channel #Babylon5 on the UnderNet chat network. Epsilon3 also provides food, drinks, and fun to visitors of the channel. |
