| Joe Dawson, played by Jim Byrnes, is part of the Watchers' organization. He was recruited to the Watchers during the time he spent in the Vietnam Conflict. He stepped on a mine during a raid of the North Vietnamese, but was saved by the captain of his garrison who was also an immortal. Andrew Cord, the immortal who saved Joe, brought Joe to get medical help. When Joe finally became conscience, he swore he was brought in by Cord, and people considered him delusional. Then a man approached Joe and told Joe that he is not delusional, he told Dawson that Cord is immortal and then asked Joe to join the Watchers. |
| Now Joe Dawson's project for the Watchers is Duncan Mcleod. However, Joe broke all the rules with the Watchers' organization. He interfered with Duncan's life by becoming friends with Duncan, meeting other immortals (mostly Duncan's friends) and helping Duncan out occasionally. |
