 About the series

The filming of the third series had finished late January 1996, and the International series which was filmed in England has finished early this year.

The third series started on the 4th May, 1996 from 18:30 - 19:30 (Where was that extra 10 minutes from the international series?) And it has just finished recently.

After the third series finish, they had the Teams Sports Challenge series (3 episodes), the ARMY vs NAVY series (3 episodes), another series of "The ASHES" which was filmed in England (3 episodes), then another internetional series (filmed in Brisbane) of AUSTRALIA vs RUSSIA (3 episodes).

Hopefully they will start filming the new series (series 4) in the December holidays, and finish by the end of January.

New Games

In the third series, there are two new games. Skytrack - which is shown in the international series, is a game where the Gladiators chase the Challengers on the "slot car track" hung high off the ground with a twist - upside down.

The other game is called Joust - it is like a medieval battle set in the future. It is sort of like Duel, the Gladiator & the Challenger sit on a mechanical-bull-look-alike each and they both try to knock each other off while trying to keep your own balance.

New Gladiators

In the third series there will be three new Gladiators: Electra, Glacier (both female) and Tornado (male). Unfortunately, I do not have their stats yet.

The Cheerleaders

Did you know that the cheerleader in the Gladiators were used to call "G-Force" (Same as the British ones) and they are now called "The Kix", if you are lucky enough to see Gladiators Live, you will also see their performance before (and during) the show.

Did you know.....

Did you know what type of vehicle the Gladiators used during the filming of Gladiators? The answer is 2 Toyota Taragos, so next time if you see two Taragos going one after another, watch closely for the Gladiators.

What happened to the Gladiators Mag?

From my reliable source, the marvellous Gladiators magazine has stopped publishing from last month. In its short life - from August/September 95 as a bi-monthly magazine to March 96 when it changed to a monthly magazine and dropped its price from A$4.95 to A$3.95. The last issue was issue 9 for August 96, unfortunately they didn't make it to the 10th. In that one year the "Glad Mag" gave many fans interesting information about the Gladiators. And it was also an important source of information for this site. I don't know what happened but my source said it's gone! The last issue did not say anything about its end, so hopefully it will re-appear some day. (maybe before the next series goes on air).

About Cougar and his court battle

On May 14, Cougar was found NOT guilty of four charges of indecently dealing with two girls aged 13 & 14. This nightmare started August 1995, during the 10 month court battle he lost weight, motivation and he also stopped. He did not work in the third series because of court appearances, but since the battle is over he will return to do what he loves - being a Gladiator. Soon the producers of the show will decide on which Gladiator will return for the next series. We all hope Cougar will be on the list.

See what others think whether Cougar is guilty or not from the result of our voting booth.

LOVE is in the air

The couple that every Gladiator fan talking about is DELTA and James. Strangely enough, it was a gym that brought the couple together when they were both teenagers. When they heard of the news about the show Gladiators, James asked Delta to attend the tryout with him. Even though it was James wanted to be the Gladiator first, the producers chose Delta. "They seened to spot her almost immediately," said James. Anyway, James was determined to involved - so he tryout to be a Challenger. Eventually he got chosen for the third series, Delta was scared that James may get hurt so she begged her Gladiators co-workers to take it easy, but they treated her request with distain and jokingly threatened to break James' bones. Delta and James hope to tie the knot in April 1997, and yes, they said they are going to have kids ASAP.

See what others think whether Delta & James should get married or not from the result of out voting booth.

Another couple?

There is another possible couple, Fury and Taipan. People have been talking about it since the first series. But are they really a couple? or is it just rumours? Taipan owns a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week gym in Melbourne (just like 7-Elevens), and Fury is a beautican who works in Taipan's gym. They both joined Gladiators in the first series, and there are many photo shots of them together. Coincidence?

See what others think whether they are really a couple or not from the result of our voting booth.

 Delta, the Queen

Delta, the "Queen of the Pyramid", is many people's favourite female Gladiator. She is young, cheerful and of course, beautiful as well! But did you notice that she had a few costume changes? She changed her costume 3 times! Not many people realise because the four costumes all look similar. Personally I think her costume in Series 1 is the best out of the four, with four thin straps cris-crossing to make her look so special, and a hole between her breasts makes her look sexy, but probably because it is difficult to put on (it seems to be) she got 2 of the straps taken off in the middle of series 1, but maybe because it is not secure enough (it seems very loose), she changed her costume for Series 2, the Ashes series and the International Series.

Instead of having the two thin straps making a cross just under her neck, she had two thicker shoulder straps for her costume, and the hole "reinforced" by a clip of some sort, but probably because it is still not strong enough (the clip looks like it's about to fall apart) she had a third costume change. This time the shoulder straps stay, but the hole moved down to her belly-button. Even though it looks more secure than the last one, if you notice close enough, you can still see her "adjusting" her costume every time she makes a tackle in pyramid. So lets watch closely and see if she will have another costume change!

See what others think whether Delta should get another costume change or not from the result of our voting booth, and you can have your say as well!

Who is that annoying guy at the end?

I have received quite a few complaint about that guy who always say something like, "What a great show, next week we will have the ......" when the credits come up no matter that show was good or not. Can someone send me a name of that person? All I know is his first name, Tony. He is the commentator of the show, even though he did a great job during the show, I think he sounds really stupid at the credits.

See what others think whether Tony's speech is annoying or not from the result of our voting booth, and you can have your say as well!

Gone, but not forgotten

Ok, so the Gladiators are gone... but there are rumours saying that they will be back at the end of 1997. There were many other rumours as well including Gladiators purchased by Foxtel, Galaxy, Nine etc. You name it, most probably I've heard it. So I'll keep you posted as soon as anything is confirmed. If any of you have any news (preferably confirmed or from a reliable source) please e-mail me so I can tell the world about it.
