Chapter Five
The two of them where still kising when Dimitri knocked on the door. They
quickly jumped apart and Ryan answered the door.
"You still haven't foung anything to wear?" Dimitri asked rasing his eyebrows.
"Of course we did...Here." Gillian said holing up jeans and a tee-shirt.
"Okay, hurry up and get dressed. We should go see Eugenia, maybe Elizabeth
is there. Oh and Ryan, you might want to take off that lipstick, Red doesn't
suit you." Dimitri laughed as the couple turned red.
"Why do I feel like I'm back in high school getting caught making out with a
girl my parents haven't met." Ryan asked her.
Gillian laughed as she handed Ryan the clothes. "I'll be downstairs okay?"
Gillian told him heading for the door.
Ryan pulled her close and kissed her once more.
"We need to talk about our confusing relationship." he told her.
"Soon, I promise." she told him as she headed toward the door.

It had been a few hours since they had arrived at the hospital but Eugenia
was still in for tests.
"You really failed English twice?" Ryan asked her.
"Isn't it obvious!" Laughed Gillian.
They barly noticed anyone until they heard a loud noise by the door. They
turned to see that someone was being wheeled in.
Jake pushed passed them over the the victim. Gillian followed him toward the
strecher. When her eyes came to the victim she let out a startled gasp.
"Elizabeth." she whispered.
"Gillian, you know her?" Jake asked his friend.
Gillian suddenly lost her balance but luckily Ryan was there to catch her.
He helped her toward a chair and strode to Dimitri. After saying something
to him Ryan sat down beside her.
In the background they heard Dimitri telling Jake that her name was
Elizabeth Astria. After arguing with Jake about going in to see her,Dimitri
gave up and sat with Gillian and Ryan.
"She didn't see the car coming and walked across the road.The drivers brakes
didn't work and didn't stop until she slipped under the wheel." Dimitri told them.
"This is all my fault." Gillian told them.
"What? Gillian don't be crazy." Ryan faced her.
"No it is. If I had tried to make peace with her...... she never would have
been so upset and wouldn't be here." Gillian said.
"Gillian Stop it." Dimitri told her as she stood up.
Gillian walked over to
where Jake was and said something to him. When he shook his head Gillian
grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him toward him. From where he was
sitting her heard her say, "I swear, you don't let me see my cousin I will
break every bone in your body so help me god."
That made Jake change his mind and he lead Gillian in.
When he returned he came over to the two men.
"It looks pretty bad, she's all bruised and has broken both her leg and
ribs." Jake told the two of them.
"Will she?" Dimitri started.
"She's in a coma and may never wake up. Call the family." Jake told them
before leaving them.
"What is this going to do to Gillian?" Dimitri wondered out loud.
