Brooke's history in short(???).
* She's the daughter of Stephanie's most hated enemy, Eric's college sweetheart and first love, Beth Logan.
* Brooke fell in love with Ridge after befriending his fiancé Caroline. Caroline was in the hospital, it was her wedding day and just as she was about to walk down the isle into her waiting groom's arms...her father, Bill Spencer showed her some pics that a private dectective had taken of Ridge and a model named Alex in bed together. Caroline was devastated and as she struggled with this heartbreaking information, she attempted to walk down the isle but ended up collasping into Ridge's arms in a dead faint. Ridge rushed her to the hospital. Caroline didn't want to talk to Ridge or her father when she regained consciousness at the hospital. But she did find comfort talking to the pretty, young candy striper who was so friendly. In fact Caroline took to her immediately. The candy striper confessed that she had heard about the wedding events on the news and had come to the hospital just to see Caroline and her friends and family. Caroline respected the girls honsty and liked her warm and friendly demeanor, and so began the friendship of Brooke and Caroline.

* Brooke got pregnant by Ridge and was about to marry him but lost the baby and Ridgechose Caroline over her.
* Brooke got pregnant with Eric, Ridge's father and was going to marry him. But then shethought Eric and Stephanie were about to reconcile and was about to make an abortion. Shechanged her mind too late, but was rescued in the nick of time by Eric who stopped theabortion and proposed to Brooke. Brooke accepted but problems arose when Stephanie foundout and stopped their divorce.
* Brooke found out Caroline was dying from leukemia and wavered about telling Ridge ornot. Finally she decided to do it but Ridge didn't want to believe her.
* Caroline wanted Brooke to be with Ridge after she had died but Brooke said she wascommitted to Eric. But after Caroline died she had second thoughts. But she stayedcommitted to Eric. By this time another woman had come into Ridge's life. Dr Taylor Hayes,Caroline's physician. She offered Ridge emotional suppport and friendship too.
* Eric and Brooke moved in together and Ridge remembered Caroline's dying wish, that hespend his future with Brooke.
* At this point in time Stephanie was doing everything she could to have Ridge and Brookeunite. She said to Taylor that Ridge and Brooke were destiend to be together and she actedvery harshly toward Taylor for interfering...
* Brooke gave birth to a baby boy, Eric JR, and Eric finally managed to divorce Stephanie.He and Brooke married. Brooke' mother was not at all happy with the developments.
* Eric and Brooke spent a romantic honeymoon in the desert.
* Brooke worked at the lab to create a formula to make fabrics wrinkle-free. Stephanie wasgoing for a trip but suffered a minor stroke and ended up homeless. When she came back shehad amnesia and she and Brooke became friends for a short period of time.
* Stephanie had put up cameras in the Forrester lab and those kept rolling as she wasmissing. During the months that Stephanie was gone Brooke and Ridge grew closer again.Brooke was also very upset over Eric's concern for Stephanie. Ridge came into thesteamroom, naked, pretending to be Eric. Brooke was very upset with him and left beforethe prank went too far.
* Eric was helping his exwife and Brooke felt left out. Ridge tried to cheer her up andtook her out dancing. Brooke begun having suspicions that Stephanie's amnesia was fake andthat she was using it to get her ex-husband back.
* Eventually Ridge and Brooke decided not to see each other anymore since Eric had spottedRidge kissing Brooke at a dinner they had together. They realized Eric would becomejealous of their friendship and neither of them wanted that.
* Brooke watched Ridge and Taylor become close and on the anniversary of Caroline's deathshe comforted Ridge and told him she didn't want to see him with another woman. Stephaniewanted Brooke to go after Ridge. Brooke still refused and stuck to Eric.
* Brooke and Ridge's decision to stay away from each other was rendered mute when Ericinsisted Ridge help Brooke with the creation of the fomula. When they finally succeededthey ended up making love on the floor of the lab. This of course was taped by the camerasinstalled by Stephanie. Brooke and Ridge decided to try and get Eric and Stephanie backtogether. Ridge felt guilty about what they had done but when Brooke admitted that she hadwarned Eric before they got married that she still had feelings for Ridge, Ridge got angrywith his father instead.
* Stephanie hired a forger to make a false note from Eric to Brooke which in essence saidthat he still loved Stephanie and hoped Brooke would forgive him for wanting a divorce.Stephanie showed the note to Ridge and both he and Brooke were overjoyed that nobody wouldget hurt by the fact that they had fallen back in love with each other.
* Eric was hurt in a car accident on his way back home and knew nothing of this forgedletter. He was still very much in love with Brooke. Brooke on the other hand waited forEric to mention the divorce but he never did. Brooke finally told him what had happenedand that she and Ridge were in love. Eric refused to marry Brooke. Brooke tried to makeEric's life miserable by acting badly, breaking things she knew he loved. Finally Eric sawright through Brooke and laughed at her. But he eventually told Brooke that if she wouldstay with him for two months he'd divorce her after that. Eric was sure Ridge would tireby then and Brooke would stay with him.
* Ridge was very upset that Brooke gave in to Eric's demands and said he would still dateothers while these two months went by and he did. Ridge grew closer to Taylor and Brookewas devastated.
* Eric saved Ricks life when a bookshelf almost fell upon their boy and Ridge went to seehis father at the hospital. He overheard Brooke and Eric and decided he couldn't breakthem up.
* Ridge proposed to Taylor and she finally accepted. br>* Brooke found out she was pregnant with what she thought was Ridge's child. She rushed tothe chapel to tell Ridge but was too late.
* Taylor told Brooke she thought Brooke's obsession with Ridge was a mental illnes.
* Ridge was going to take Brooke on a tour of Europe to promote BeLieF, she was afraidRidge would go back to Brooke. But Ridge returned home alone. He said his marriage wasmore important to him and Brooke didn't return until she was about to give birth. Shestunned Ridge by admitting she was still very much in love with him. Brooke felt alone andbetrayed by all. Ridge did not want her and Stephanie blasted her. Taylor asked her to goback where she came from. In tears, Brooke went to Big Bear to be alone. There, shewent into labour Luckily Ridge realized how broken Brooke was and wanted to help her andhe ended up delivereing Bridget at the cabin, helped via the cellphone by Taylor.
* Taylor kept telling Brooke that Ridge was only trying to get close to her to win thecompany back.
* Brooke by this time had actively started to pursue Ridge again. And she said to him ifhe followed her to Paris in company business she would return controlling interest ofForrester to him. Ridge agreed. Taylor was devastated and sure that Ridge would leave herfor Brooke. But Thorne stopped Ridge from leaving. By this time however, Taylor hadalready left with James to go to the cabin in Big Bear to think her life through. Wellthere they ended up in a storm and the cabin fell apart. Both think they are going to dieand James admits to Taylor that he's a virgin. He doesn't want to die like that and Taylortakes pity on him and they make love.
* However Ridge came to the cabin with a rescue team and Taylor and James decided to keepwhat happened a secret. Ridge insisted that James stay at the Forrester mansion until heis well. James and Brooke begin dating again and they fell in love with each other.
* Taylor left town to go to a conference. She writes a letter to Ridge explaining whathappened between her and James. She asks his forgiveness and hope they can start over whenshe comes back.
* Taylor's plane crashes and everyone thinks she's dead. Stephanie intercepts Taylor'sletter to Ridge, reads it and decides this is nothing he needs to find out about now thatTaylor is gone.

* Ridge left her alone in a time when she really needed him.Brooke had just come back from Barbados and was still recovering from her breakdown andstill Ridge left for Paris and left her alone with the children. So she turned to Grant.They became really close during this period of time. And he supported her, let her seethat she had the strength she needed to go on with her life even though she found out thatBridget wasn't Ridge's daughter.
* Brooke tried to convince Ridge that the Kiss didn't mean anything. But Ridge was toproud to admit that he had made a mistake proposing to Taylor. Brooke threatened to marryGrant if he went ahead with his marriage to Taylor. Nothing she said could convince Ridgethat she loved him and him alone. Or he just didn't care.
* Brooke went ahead and married Grant. But Ridge was there to try and stop the wedding.Taylor found out and she and Ridge never got married. Her husband is demanding to let hertake control over Forrester so she herself can concentrate on forgetting she ever hadanything to do with Ridge Forrester and his family. The members of that family has onlycaused her grief.
* When Brooke found out Bridget wasn't Ridge's daughter nobody believed that she hadn'tknown. Nothing about Sheila's tampering with the paternity test came up. Not even Eric,the one and only that always stood by her of the Forrester family believed her. God knowsshe hadn't always been able to count on Ridge. First it was Caroline and then Taylor thatconstantly came between them. No matter how close they came to marrying one anothersomething always managed to get in their way.
Not only once but several times had it been Ridge's mother Stephanie. Stephanie was theone who told Ridge she had seen her and Grant kissing, and then sending him off to BigBear and seeing that good bye kiss. Constantly she had been badmouthing Brooke to Ridgeand even if he didn't believe his mom, when finally something happened that might havebeen reason enough for Ridge not to trust her he starts believing all the lies Stephanieever told about her.
* Brooke had always believed thatone day she and Ridge would get married and be happy together. No matter what Stephaniedid. But now it seemed like the story had come to its final ending. So much lay betweenthem.Taylor, the Forrester company. Stephanie's meddling. Not to mention that she had goneahead with her threat to marry Grant. She had been so sure that Ridge would stop thewedding. And he had come to do just that. but too late. And the wedding was a fact. Whenfinally accepting or at least trying to accept that hers and Ridge's ten year love sagahad come to its end, Brooke tries to accept hers and Grant's marriage. Tries to forgetRidge, but it is hard. Ten years of deeply felt love and passion aren't so easilydismissed no matter how bad she wants it to. She and Grant have yet to consummate theirmarriage, and it isn't because of Grant. Brooke knows that he loves her, but she cannotforget about Ridge who has been the true love for her her entire adult life |
Brooke is trying very hard tobe a good wife to Grant, but she can't get herself to share his bed. She can't get thelove of her life - Ridge - out of her mind. |
* Grant testifies on Ridge's behalf and he is released. The joyis immense. But during the time Ridge has been in jail he has tried to encourage Taylor togo on with her life, and she has, with Thorne. Brooke on the other hand through Thornefinds out that her marriage to Grant isn't legal and she decides she wants out. Grant isstock raving mad and gets so angry he even hurts Brooke physically. In this instance Ridgeenters the house through the glass of Brooke's french doors. He comes to the rescue onceagain to his maiden in destress - Brooke. Taylor whom has decided to pick up herrelationship with Ridge instead of pursuing happiness with Thorne finds out abou this andsuffers from a severe stomach cramp. She goes to the doctor. And guess what...

He is still in love with her andBrooke thinks Taylor is in love with Thorne carrying his baby. And so does Ridge. SinceBrooke's and Grants "marriage" is no longer an issue she reveals to Ridge thathe is the reason. She still loves him and always will, and finally she is able to go afterRidge again. And of course she does. Ridge however is as wavering as always... * He can't think of anything but Taylor and Brooke is doing what she can to revitalize thelove they have always had for each other. *******More additions to this coming later ********* |
