I'm A Believer

Micky Dolenz will expect a lot from his dream girl--because he will give a lot in return. First of all, the gal who captures Micky's heart must have a tremendous sense of humor. She must be able to take a practical joke and be ready to hand some out.

This dream girl will have to be ready for anything, like getting dunked in a pool, getting a pie in her face, riding a bike, car, plane, anything that Micky may decide he digs at the particular moment.

Secondly, she must never loose her cool. His chick has to be real hip. She must never hit that panicsville button, even if she has to fake her way through a situation. So, chicks, that means she must also be ready for adventure at any time of the day or night.

He loves the names Debbie and Dawn, but if you have a name like Beatrice, Hermine, Zelda or Stella, Micky could learn to dig that, too. After all, a guy doesn't fall in love with a name, he flips for the _girl_.

If you wanted to be his dream girl you would have to dig Pontiac GTO cars. Like, well, they're the only thing on the road as far as Micky is concerned. They move, they have neat lines, and the motor really purrs, baby.

Micky loves photography as a hobby. He will go to endless efforts getting the right angle or shot, so don't be surprised if he asked you to hang from a cliff of dangle from the Empire State Building (just as long as you don't make a splash on Broadway).

Now we get to the clothes scene. Micky loves casual clothes as you can see from all his photos, but when the occasion calls for it, he steps out looking like he's advertising for _Esquire_ mag or something. He wears a tux when he has to and he has some really cool suits. He prefers the double breasted ones.

The dream girl in his life will have to like the outdoors and be pretty good at swimming and certain sports. Whenever he is not shooting and has time, you'll find this cool fellow soaking up some ultra violet rays on the beach or lying around a pool listening to music and reading. He has learned how to relax. His chick will have to do the same.

Micky loves his family. His girl would have to get along with his sisters or she could never be happy. They are all very close and there is a tremendous bond between them. A girl would have to understand this and not be jealous of Micky's family. Some chicks make the fatal mistake of thinking a guy is all theirs, you know, private property, hands off, he belongs to me. Oh, this is endsville for some girls and they can't see it. Fellows have friends and family, too. You've got to learn to accept this facet of their life.

Micky is looking for a girl who is idealistic and with high moral standards. He likes gals who are affectionate and all that jazz, but he feels marriage is a sacred thing. His standards are very high and he expects the same thing from the gal with whom he walks down the aisle and you'd better believe that or you're out of the picture for good. If you're not the clean cut type you might as well bug out right away.

He wants a real nice gal, she can't be gross and she can't have a trashmouth. He won't put up with vulgarity; she can't be a dorf either, in other words, he wants a well rounded and adjusted person like himself. He won't settle for less and you can't blame him.

So, there you have it, always keep your cool, dig movies, sports, cars, photography, outdoors, indoors, television, relaxation and all that jazz. It turns out to be a pretty nice combination.
