Can You Dig It: Mike and Micky
Mike and Micky

what nice evil grins...
more than just friends?

*Note: this page is only in fun. If you don't have a sense of humor, do us both a favor and go back to Can You Dig It?

Is it just me, or do Mike and Micky make you wonder sometimes? Watch the episodes and "Head" a little more closely, and I think you'll see what I mean. Here's a bunch of little incidents that I've noticed...

From the Show...

Royal Flush

The way they are standing so nice and close just before Sigmund runs at them. Not only that, but Micky even puts his head on Mike's shoulder.

Monkee See, Monkee Die

When they first get to the Mansion, Micky is clinging onto Mike.
During "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day", it's Mike and Micky who are in the pool together just as the lyrics go: "...I tell you there's a lot of fish, swiming in the deep blue sea. I'm gonna catch me a pretty one, and she'll be good to me..." I think they mean, "... he'll be good to me..."
As Peter is "shooting" everyone, Micky is once again clinging onto Mike.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers

Micky and Mike are tied up next to each other... are they tying the knot?

Monkees in a Ghost Town

During "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day", Mike is behind Micky... maybe he likes the view (I know I would!)

Don't Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth

Micky chews on Mike's hand. Love bites perhaps?

The Chaperone

Micky dresses up as a female chaperone. I guess we know who the woman of the relationship is!
Also, at the end, just before Micky says, "There's just one thing that bothers me." Mike: "What?" Micky: Do I gotta give back the ring?", Mike and Micky are facing each other, and their faces are a little too close...

I've Got a Little Song Here

At the end, Mike looks like he's about to tickle Micky (just after Micky says, "Good work, Nishwash." Mike: "Nesmith!" Micky: "Nipmop?").

One Man Shy

When the Monkees are trying to help Peter win Valleri by shouting their undying love while Peter moves his mouth, you'll notice that Mike has his arm around Micky.

Too Many Girls

Near the end, after Mike, Micky, and Peter tell Davy that they're sorry for messing up his act, there is a brief pause, then Micky suddenly makes this odd noise and grabs Mike's hand.
When Mike, Micky and Peter are trying to stop Davy from going on the Amature (sp?) Hour with Fern, they all sit on the chair that Davy is chained to... and Micky looks like he's practiacally sitting on Mike's lap!
At the same time... Mike is holding onto Micky's arm.

Son of a Gypsy

Mike and Micky are the ones who (together) hafta distract the guards.

Case of the Missing Monkee

Mike is below Micky as they're climbing up that ladder... another nice view.
Mike seems to enjoy tucking Micky in when they put Micky in Mr. Whats-his-face-scientist-guy's place.

I Was a Teenage Monster

Micky keeps calling "Mike? Mike?" when the Monkees start to disappear, but didn't Davy dissapear too?
*none related fact: as Micky is being pulled behind that curtain, watch the bottom edge of the curtain to his left... you'll see a flash of white; it's someone's shoe*

Monkees Chow Mein

After they're kidnapped, Micky is clinging onto Mike and making some very odd noises!
As Micky is going downstairs to get something to help his stomach, if you listen carefully, you can hear Mike saying, "Oh, let's go to bed," in the background. I don't think that I need to comment on that one! :)
While "Your Auntie Grizelda" is playing, the fellas run out of those doors and squish in between them, and, what a surprise, Mike and Micky are together!

Monkee Mother

After they try to tell Millie to leave, Mike puts his arm around Micky... hmmmm....

The Christmas Episode

At the very end, after "Riu Riu Chiu", when Mike is talking, if you watch Micky's eyes, you can see him glance at Mike's butt!

I'll put more up later from the episodes...

Frequent Incidents...
(i.e. stuff that occurs throughout several episodes)

Mike and Micky always seem to end up standing or sitting by each other.

They're always grinning at each other.

There's only been one episode in which I've seen them fall in love (Monkees Get Out More Dirt), otherwise they never seem to get the girls.

Their faces always seem to be rather close to one anothers (like in The Chaperone).

Their hands always seem to end up in places they shouldn't be.

They're always clinging and grabbing onto each other.

On The Albums

On the "Monkees Present" CD (the pic on the CD itself), notice that Mike has his arm on Micky's shoulder. Gotta luv the expression on Micky's face too... :)

From "Head"

Micky: "Who's gonna hafta be on the bottom?"
Mike: "Well, I am the tallest and the strongest."
Micky: "So you're on the bottom."

Just think of this in a sick way, and I'm sure you'll get it :)

Mike and Micky are the ones standing together betting on whether or not that girl'll jump off the building.

They're also together in that Old West scene. In fact, Micky's completely ignoring that snake-bitten girl so he could help Mike with the arrow... *awww* how cute...

From the "Justus" Video

They're together when Mike is showing Micky the magic glasses.

Look at where Micky looks at Mike when he puts on the Male Adolecence glasses...

When Mike disappears, and Micky kinda waves his hand around where Mike was sitting, didja notice how he puts his hand where it shouldn't be? *wicked grin* Not only that, but when Mike reappears, he's giggling and says, "That tickles!"

They take a nice little walk together and talk about the stars... how romantic :)

Miscelaneous Incidents
(i.e. stuff that didn't occur on the show)

Ok, I know that Mike is not touring with the others this year, and you'd think he would if he and Micky were more than just friends, but absence does make the heart grow fonder...

On some movie files that I've downloaded of the Monkees on talk shows and whatnot, I've noticed that Mike and Micky are once again seated by one another... hmmmm...

On a 1986 video of Mike 's appearance with the Monkees, Mike kisses Micky on the cheek! Whoa!

I promise that I'll keep adding more, I just need the time.

*disclaimer: please note that this page is only in fun. I do not believe that Mike and/or Micky are homosexual, or that they ever had anything going on. This page was entirely prepared by and the brainchild of Pia Sharn (aka Missy) thankyou for the laugh Missy and for allowing me to use this on my web page!!
