Worth forgetting Not bad Worth remembering
A joy to remember  Major Nostalgia Ultra Nostalgia !

Tales from the Riverbank 1960
Rats and rodents galore. The twitching noses of Hammy Hamster and Roderick the Rat have no doubt stayed with many of us.

Teddy Edward 1970
Dereck Griffiths of Play School fame, I think, was behind this song and story programme.

Terry and June 1979

When he wasn't dressed upa as a little boy advertising "Curlywurly's", Terry Scott joined forces with June Whitfield in a sitcom which showed no imagination in it's title.

That's Life 1973

These Are The Days 19??
A cartoon that showed life with a family on a farm. I have a vague memory of remembering that it was one of those serious style cartoons. Rocking chairs, hens and cows. Thats all I remember.

This is Your Life 1955

  3-2-1  1978
This early eighties quiz show, hosted by Ted Rogers who tied his fingers in a knot every time he said "3-2-1", was a combination of a quiz show with 3 pairs of contestants whittled down to 2 and finally 1. Hence the name. The final pair had to put up with several sketches of which each left them with a riddle. The joy of the program was seeing how the contestants reacted when Ted explained the riddle. They always looked more perplexed than before. With a big prize and "Dusty the Bin" booby prize, this was a classic.

Thunderbirds 1965
Made a revival in recent years, certainly the best of all the Gerry Anderson puppet shows. Most people will remember how you could buy Matchbox or Dinky versions of each Thunderbird. Always seem to have a story of  2 guys stuck in a caved in area, time running out, sweat on a puppet with the odd real hand used in close ups, and the only answer was International Rescue.....F.A.B.! In all 32 episodes were made.

Tiswas 1974

Tom and Jerry 1940

(The) Tomorrow People 1973
73 episodes were made.

Tomorrows World 1965
Raymond Baxter presented this program.

Top Cat (Boss Cat) 1963
Boss Cat ?or Top Cat ?.... that is the question. The song claims, "close friends get to call him T.C." Therefore we assume that he's Boss Cat to his enemies, like Officer Dibble .Also amongst Top Cats gang were Fancy, ChuChu, Benny the Ball and Brains. Apparently, Sgt Bilko was the inspiration of this great cartoon.

Top of the Form 1962
An inter-school quiz show

Touché Turtle
Touché Turtle and Dum Dum were teamed up to conquer villains and thief's in the same way as Hong Kong Phooey. His catch phrase being "Touché away!"

Toy Town 1954

Treasure Hunt 1982
Kenneth Kendall and Aneka Rice

Trumpton 1967
Yet another Gordan Murry program with the help of Brian Cant (Play School and Playaway fame) But this is the one with the famous firemen.... "Hugh, Pugh, Barley Mcgrue, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub." Though the debate is whether the first is Hugh or Pugh ?

Upstairs, Downstairs 1971
165 Eaton Place, London.68 episodes

" V " 1984

(The) Virginian 1965

Vision On 1964
Fronted by Tony Hart. He aimed this program particularly for deaf children. "The Gallery" was a regular feature along with a mad professor who made marble track inventions. I've a feeling that Tony Robinson of Baldrick fame was also part of the regular team.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea 1964

Wacky Races  1969
11 madcap drivers racing there socks off, knowing that car 00 (Dick Dastardly and Mutley) had no chance of stopping them from winning the race. Brilliant. The idea for the cartoon was supposedly derived from the film "The Great Race".

Watch with Mother 1950
Always started at 3.45pm, 1950-80 then became See-Saw.

We are the Champions 197?
Ron Pickering
Whodunnit? 1973
A brilliant program where the host (Jon Pertwee) would have a 15 min sketch acted out with a murder at the end . A panel of sleuths, including Liza Goddard and Patrick Mower would ask the actors questions to discern whodunnit.

Why Don't You? 1975
Or more accurately "Why don't you just switch off the television set and go and do something less boring instead?". This is the longest TV title ever. Though hoe would you be able to watch the programme if you failed to take notice of the title? A bit of a what came first? The chicken or the egg syndrome.

Wicker's World 1959

Willo the Wisp 1980
Kenneth Williams

(The) Wombles 1973
Bernard Cribbins provides narration to several furry creatures named after areas on a map. The boss, Great Uncle Bulgaria, leads Orinoco and others to tidy up Wimbledon Common. The first sign of a green education for children. Passing humans were only ever seen as large shoes on the end of walking legs.

Wonderful World of Disney 1972

Wonder Woman 1978
Lynda Carter Miss world 1973

(The) Woodentops 1955
Consisted of a family of Blockheads along with Spotty dog and Buttercup the cow. This also was part of the Watch with Mother slot.

(The) Worker 1965
About a unemployed worker (Charlie Drake) going to the Labour Exchange for a job from Mr Pugh.

(The) World of Sport 1965
Dickie Davis was the main presenter in this saturday afternoon sports show. With a wicked streak of grey hair he would present sports such as horse racing, football action, rugby, and always from 4pm to 5pm, wrestling with names such as Catweasle, Mick McManus, Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and a real treat was every so often it was "Tag Team Time". A nostalgic classic.

Worzel Gummidge 1978

Yogi Bear 1960

Yogi's Gang
This is a bit of  Noah and Nelly meets Hanna Barbara artists. As you can see anyone who wasn't used for Wacky Races made it onto Yogi's Ark.
