The sun shined on Jessie and James' sleeping figures, still lying next to each other. James was the first to awake. He smiled to see Jessie next to him. James softly kissed her on the back of the neck to wake her up. She woke up smiling. Jessie turned to face James and ran her gloved fingers through his lovely purple hair. "Hey," James quietly greeted. "Hey," Jessie replied back. "You ready to get up yet?" he asked. "Nope," she answered. "Me neither," James sighed. But never the less, he stood up anyway and helped Jessie to her feet as well. Helping her up turned into a hug and they stood in and embrace for quite a while. Suddenly, Jessie snapped out of their trance. "Oh!" she loudly exclaimed. "What?" James asked somewhat concerned. "I completely forgot about Misty!" she explained. "Oh, crap!" James agreed, "That's right! Shoot! Why did we even ask her to join?" "I didn't!" Jessie corrected, "You did, remember?" "Well, it was our idea to get her in. Why did we do that?" James asked. Slightly annoyed, "To get Pikachu!" Jessie reminded. "Oh, right!" he remembered. "How's that gonna work?" James asked confusedly. "Don't worry!" Jessie assured him as she tapped him on the nose and began to walk away. "She and I will have a chick chat!" "Oh," James said, still confused. After a pause, he called after her, "You are gonna tell me what that means later, right?" "We'll see!" she playfully shouted back.
Misty was dressed in her old, usual clothes when Jessie walked into camp. "Misty!" Jessie cheerfully greeted. "AHH!" Misty screamed, surprised and scared by Jessie's voice. "Oh. Hi, Jessie!" Misty greeted back as nicely as she could while being scared as she was of her. Thoughts raced through Misty's mind as she nervously smiled at the powerful Jessie, "Is she gonna kill me? James kissed me yesterday! She's probably really mad about that! She is gonna kill me! Oh my God! Help me!" "What's wrong with you?" Jessie asked, "Think I'm gonna kill you or something?" Jessie began to laugh at her clever line and Misty laughed along nervously too. "Why aren't you wearing your uniform?" Jessie questioned. Slightly embarrassed, "It's doesn't exactly fit," Misty explained. "Well, that's no problem!" Jessie scoffed. "Just give me on sec!" Jessie quickly whipped out a pair of scissors, needle and thread and skillfully whooshed around Misty. When the dust cleared, the suit was done. "Whatcha think?" Jessie asked, as she put a full length mirror in front of Misty. "Um, wow! It looks great!" Misty said amazed. But the one thing she wasn't too crazy about was the skirt. It was a little too short for her taste. "Not used to skirts, huh?" Jessie observed. Misty nodded sheepishly. "Not to worry!" Jessie smiled. "I expected that and made you a skort!" Jessie proclaimed, as she spun Misty around to see. "Wow! Thanks!" Misty said gratefully, very excited about the skirt and short combo. "Now Misty," Jessie said, getting a little more serious, "I know why you left the others." "You do?" Misty asked worriedly. "Yes," Jessie said, very sure of herself, "You confessed your love for Ash and he laughed at you, right?" Misty was absolutely shocked, "How did you know?!" "Honey, let me tell you something about Ash," Jessie said as she counted off her fingers, "One, he maybe cute at moments but is mostly a goon. Two, he's not that bright-" "Don't stop now," Misty urged. Jessie continued, "And three, he's 10 years old!" "So?" Misty questioned. "The age of 10 for a boy means idiot!" Jessie explained, "He's immature and incapable of having those sort of feelings for anyone but his mother!" "Really?" Misty asked her. "Yes!" Jessie assured her, "I mean look at Brock for god's sake! And he's at least 15!" Misty thought and said, "You know what? Your right!" "Of course!" Jessie agreed. "I feel much better!" Misty confessed. "Great," Jessie said, "But you know what would make you feel fabulous?" "What?" Misty eagerly asked. "A makeover!" Jessie exclaimed. "Oh, wow! Let's do it!" Misty yelled, as she and Jessie high-fived each other.
Hours later, Jessie emerged from behind the bushes to where James and Meowth were sitting. "Done so soon?" James asked her. "Well, we would have been out sooner but," Jessie lowered her voice to James, "But she's really nervous about you seeing her!" James smiled up at her, kind of flattered that any girl would get nervous over him. "So act like it's a really great change, ok?" Jessie continued. James nodded, understanding. "But don't act too excited!" Jessie said as an afterthought as she walked over to the edge of the clearing. "Alright!" Jessie proclaimed as she acted as though she was in a showcase, "Presenting the newest Team Rocket member! Misty, come on down!" Slowly, Misty emerged from behind the foliage. She was sporting a tight fitting uniform, make up and had her hair down. James and Meowth gasped in amazement. "Wow!" James commented. Misty giggled at his comment. Jessie made a motion for James to get up. Getting up, James walked over to the two girls. "You do wonderful work, Jessie!" he said. "Thank you, James!" Jessie smiled. "And you," James took Misty's hands and spun her around, "Look fabulous!" Misty nervously giggled again and said, "Why thank you, James!" He smiled at her then turned to Jessie. "So what's the plan?" he asked. "Well, we find Ash and get Pikachu!" Jessie told the group. James and Meowth nodded deciding it was as good a plan as any, but Misty wasn't sure. "Isn't that the same plan you guys have every time?" she asked. Jessie got very angry, "WHY YOU-" But she stopped herself and continued sweetly, "No, dear. This time, we've got you!" "Oh," Misty said, not really understanding, "So, what do I do?" "Well," Jessie began, "While James and I say our motto, you sneak from the back and grab Pikachu!" "Ooo! I get it! A diversion!" James interjected excitedly. "Right!" Jessie continued, "And since Pikachu trust you, he won't shock you!" Misty looked at the red haired girl in awe. "Wow! That sounds flawless!" she said in shock. Jessie was very pleased with Misty being so impressed. "Hopefully it will be!" Jessie told everyone. James couldn't keep the excitement in any longer. He was so excited to have a plan that might actually work. "Let's go, Jessie! Let's go right now!" Jessie goes to hit him on the head but instead pats him on the shoulder. "Calm down, James!" she smiled at him. "We have to make sure we have transportation ready to go as soon as we have Pikachu." she told everyone. "Right!" James agreed, "Let's move!" Everyone ran off to pack up, while Misty was left in the dust. She looked around for a second, then headed off in the direction James went. Soon everything was packed up and ready to go. "Ok," Jessie told everyone, "Now the only thing to decide is whether to use the car or the hot air balloon." "Why don't we-" James quickly blurted out but then turned to Misty and asked her, "What do you think?" Jessie gave him a 'what are you doing' look. Misty, flattered to be asked, "Well, most of the time Ash uses Pidgeotto to pop the balloon and Pikachu to shock the car." "But if we have Pikachu," James said as he began to put the pieces together, "He won't be able to shock the car!" "Wonderful!" Jessie exclaimed, "So the car it is!" James exclaimed, "Pack up the car and let's head out!" "Right!" Jessie and Misty agreed at the same time. With the car packed up, the four set off to find Pikachu.
