Salon Rocket Reopened Written by Rocket Gal
This story is rated: Um, I'd say PG13. It's part of a set that started out as PG13 so I guess that's the way it should be. Before reading this story you must have read: If Only, Hanging On, Who's That Cute Doctor?, A Change for the Bitter, Just Like Old Times, Sorta, and Butch and Cassidy Catastrophe
Jessie and James had a wonderful idea to help Cassidy and themselves also. They decided to open another Salon Rocket. This would give Cassidy something to do and give Jessie a needed rest. "Are you sure this will work?" Cassidy asked. "What do you mean? It worked the last time!" Jessie told her. "Yes, until someone," James glared at Meowth, "messed it up!" "I said I was sorry, like a million times!" Meowth whined. "That's how much money we could have made, if you would have shut up!" he yelled back. "Um, James?" Jessie said. "Huh?" James asked. "Back to the business at hand?" she reminded. "Ah, yes!" he said, turning back to Cassidy, "Listen, Cassidy. It's very simple. You like Pokemon, right?" "Yes, that's why I agreed to this," Cassidy nodded. "Well, all you have to do is sign the customers in, and prep their Pokemon for us to make them fabulous! Can you do that?" Jessie put her arm around Cassidy's neck and said, "Are you kidding? This gal can do anything!" Cassidy smiled at her and said, "Sounds great!" James smiled and left the room. Once he was out of earshot, the girls started talking. "I love your guys' work clothes!" Cassidy commented. "So do I," Jessie smiled, "especially James'!" "He looks so cute in the outfit!" Jessie confessed, "And those glasses drive me crazy!" "Down girl!" Cassidy grinned at her friend's silliness. James walked by the door and saw the two looking suspiciously giddy. Suspecting they were talking about him, "My ear's are burning!" he called. "That's not the only thing that's hot!" Jessie whispered. Cassidy and she broke down in hysterics and were giggling uncontrollably. James decided he should listen to this conversation. "What are you ladies giggling about?" he asked interested. "I don't know," Jessie baited, "how cute you are?" James was a bit flattered and embarrassed, "Oh, well, uh, please continue!" "Yeah, right!" Jessie said as she walked around the counter. She took his arm and led him out the door. Cassidy shook her head at their cuteness.
It had been nearly a month since Salon Rocket opened it's doors, and it was immediately a huge success. Some people had heard of the first one that was on Scissor Street but they didn't hold any ill will, after Jessie explained that this Salon Rocket was opened under new management than the other. Cassidy made sure all guest signed in and then Jessie and James worked their magic. "Another fabulous day at the Rocket!" James remarked to Jessie as they were closing up shop one day. "Just as it should be!" she smiled back. "Oh, wait a sec! I have to put this in the store room," Jessie remembered. "Do you want some help?" James offered. "No, I've got it!" she said cheerfully, as she picked up the heavy box and carried it to the back room. "You guys aren't gone yet?" Cassidy asked James as she was about to leave herself. "Jess had to put something in the back room," he explained. "Oh," Cassidy nodded. The two waited for her when suddenly a loud crash was heard emitting from the store room. "Jess?" James called. There was no answer. James immediately rushed to the room as fast as he could. He couldn't have know what he would feel once he got back there. Jessie had collapsed and was lying on the floor unconscious. James dropped to his knees and propped her up. "Jessie?" he asked. She did not respond. "Jessie?" he asked again. Nothing still. "Jessica?" he screamed. There was still no response. James pulled her close to him. "No, no, no, no," he trailed off repeating the word over and over again. He held her tightly against his body, as if he was afraid if he let go, he might loose her. "What's going on?" Cassidy asked as she walked in and saw the site. "Call an ambulance!" he yelled. "Oh my god!" Cassidy uttered as she ran from the room to make the call. James sat there rocking back and forth with his love in his arms, waiting for help to come.
