Sean pretends to talk to someone
9/30/98

Baby got Sean
As a child I was taught to use my imagination as a tool for creativity. For the most part I pretended I was creative and it did very little good for anyone involved. But I'm older now and imagination is not to be used at any time. But I say it doesn't have to be that way people. I can pretend all I want. In fact, I can even pretend to talk to an imaginary friend of some sort. One that can help take away the pain that comes with living in a loveless world...and who knows? It could be kind of neat. Hmmm, I will call him Gary and he'll be from Roanoke.

"So Gary, what's it like in whatever state Roanoke is in?"
"Not bad, Sean, you know what? I really like you as a friend."
"Why thank you Gary, I like you too. Do you mind if I ask you something personal?"
"Why no Sean, that's what I'm here for. I am your friend after all."
"That you are Gary. Well, I was just wondering, is it okay to cry?"
"Why yes it is Sean."
"Like even when you have no reason to at all? Just because you want to or have to?"
"I don't see why not Sean. I accept you fully, for you are my friend."
"Well that's good. Do you cry Gary?"
"Not really no."
"Hmmmm, but you understand where I'm coming from though?"
"Not really."
"Oh, well that's okay. Now you ask me something Gary."
"Okay, why do you think no body likes you?"
"…what do you mean?"
"Well, no one likes you right? Why do you think that is?"
"What are you…I mean…people like me."
"That's not what I heard"
"Why are you saying all this Gary? I though you were my friend."
"Maybe it's cause you cry all the time."
"You said that was okay."
"Maybe I was just being nice"
"I hate you Gary. I can't believe you would say these things. I trusted you."
"Well, maybe you shouldn't be such a big baby."
"I am not a baby. I'm a good person. I don't need you as my friend. You're a jerk and a liar"
"Whatever"

…Well, that didn't work very well...sniff sniff…I think I'll forget about that imagination thing. I'll just stick to the chat rooms. People like me there. I mean, why would they lie to me? Well, see you next week kids.
