As recent as 1999 the name Sacha Baron Cohen was relatively unknown in the UK. He is now one of the hottest properties around based primarily on a single comic character creation - Ali G. Born December 1970, Sacha graduated from Cambridge (Haberdasher's) in 1993 having cut his teeth on the Cambridge Footlights scene following in the foot-steps of such other comic greats such as Dudley Moore and John Cleese. But enough of the history lesson, who is Ali G? Created by Sacha Baron Cohen, Ali G almost single handed made the Channel 4 late-night irreverent comedy show the 11 o'clock Show a surprising success during it's two showings in 1998/1999. His success formula was simple; take a modern street-wise youth and arrange for him to interview has-been celebrities. Take it a step further, use a street-wise rapper loosely based on an Anglo-Asian stereotype who speaks a completely different dialect of the Queen's English to the people he is interviewing and you have a recipe for mischief and comedy. The character is made all that more believable by a bright yellow Fubu track suit, wrap around sun-glasses (shades), chunky rings and necklace and a Tommy Hilgger hat. Respect! But let Ali speak for himself....

Now the official voice of youth, Ali G takes on the likes of Judge Pickles who despite his name is not a DJ but a real Judge. Other show interviews include such in-depth searching questions such as, "Why don't they teach proper maff in schools, why teach in kilos and grams when you should deal in ounces, quarters and eighths". Nuff said! Aye.

The Ali G Desktop Theme is another fun desktop theme from those happy folks at . The Theme features themed start-up and shutdown screens, hi-colour (24-bit) 1024x 768 desktop wallpaper (scalable), animated cursor set and new desktop icons. Also included are new windows event sounds taken from various Ali G interviews. We have included a full feature screensaver with sound capability (optional) constructed using Screen Saver Studio Deluxe featuring more Ali G sights and sounds. Full installation instructions are provided in a web-page Readme file and the whole theme downloads in a convenient zip file.
