Wishes Do Come True
Sequel to Happier Days

Melissa's eyes lit up as a devilish smirk appeared on her face. "Hmmm..." She thought a few things and held the locket. "I wish..."

"Wait!!" Willow interrupted.

A pout came from the woman beside her. "What?"

"Don't do it! That-that necklace... it's dangerous!"

Spike glared at the girl. "Do you mind. I want to know if she wants chocolate or strawberry..."

Melissa smacked Spike on the knee softly. "How can it be dangerous? I'm not going to wish for someone to die or anything."

"Yeah, but... well... it's just..."

"I'll be careful."

With a sigh Willow nodded. "Okay, if you're careful."

"I wish..." Melissa began with a smile.

Positioning her straw back to her mouth the list-mom took a nice long sip from her margarita while she got a back rub from her favourite vampire. "More oil." She ordered sweetly.

Willow giggled beside her as Wesley gave the girl her own back rub. "I like your wishes." The witch told her friend. "Hey, you know you can keep on wishing. It's not like I'm going to try and stop you." She gave the woman a devilish grin.

"Can we stop yet, Missa?" Spike whined. "My hands are getting tired. We've been doing this for 2 hours already and I'm about to drop!"

Melissa sighed, sipping her drink again before clutching the necklace around her neck. "I wish Spike and Wesley would never get tired of doing this." She said while both Spike and Wesley sighed again before the spell kicked in and they were as happy as can be. "You know what? I like getting presents."

"I like you getting presents too." The two girls laughed.

"Then he just *ripped* it from my neck!" Buffy said as she huffed, her arms being crossed over her chest while she ranted on the details of Spike's 'robbery' to Riley.

"I'm sorry. I-I'll see what I can do, okay?" He knocked on the door of Melissa's house.

Buffy frowned. "And he'd be here because...? I thought he had his own apartment now."

"Well... yesee... it's kinda... complicated..." Riley drew out just as the door opened and an only towel-clad Wesley answered the door.

"Wesley?" Buffy squeaked in surprise, covering her eyes.

"Oh, Buffy, Riley, er, hello. Erm, what brings you here at such an... early hour?" He asked after looking at his watch and moving himself partially behind the door.

The slayer's hand continued to cover her eyes as she replied, "Early? Wesley you're a watcher. Giles said there is no time too early or late for a watcher? Now... why are you only in a towel?"

A slight blush crept over his cheeks. "Well, Melissa and Willow, well, er, well, we're pampering the girls."

"I hope you don't mean that like I think you mean that." The blond answered, trying not to gag at the thought of her ex-watcher doing the hanky-panky past time with her friends.

"Oh, no, no, Buffy. Just... back rubs."

"That's what *we* call them." Riley muttered with a smile.

"Would you, er, like to come in?" Wesley asked.

"No!" The two replied instantly. "Thanks. No, thanks. We'd better go." Buffy replied as she dragged Riley away. "I don't want to see anymore half-naked people thanks."

"What about me?" Riley asked, a grin on his face.

"*Now* you're talkin'." She answered.

*^*

"Who was that?" Spike asked from the Jacuzzi.

"Buffy." Replied the watcher.

"She has the worst timing." Melissa grumbled as Wesley started massaging her shoulders again. "I wish Spike would get that drink Willow wanted."

Willow snickered as Spike got out of the bubbly water with a growl. "Byyyyyye!" She sang out to him teasingly.

"Ahhhh, whatta life." Missa sighed heavenly. "Bein' list-mom is great."
