Augusta, or "Gus" as I like to call her, was originally modeled after a fabulous actress from the old soap opera, Santa Barbara, named Roberta Bizeau. Bizeau now goes by the name of Roberta Weiss, and is married to her then-leading man, actor Roscoe Born. Born played identical twins Robert Barr and Quinn Armitage while Bizeau-Weiss played Quinn's sensuous and slinky sidekick Flame Beaufort. I always thought Flame should have been given a meatier role, and I so hoped to see in her in other soap operas since she was let go from Santa Barbara, but alas, it was not to be. But now that I'm writing my fan fiction for myself and those interested enough to read, I can do whatever I want! So, Roberta, if you're out there, surfing the net, I want you to know that you've inspired me to write this story. I hope to see more of your superb work in the coming years! The other actress that caught my eye for the part of Gus was Ally Walker. She plays Dr. Samantha Waters on NBC's Profiler, and has interacted with Santa Barbara Emmy-winner A Martinez, who is my choice for the part of Rafael Garcia. Ally has the physical characteristics of Gus, and with a little more aggression, would be Gus incarnated. She also has great rapport with A, who was and still is one of my favorite actors.
