Max Robins) had this to say about UPN's fall line-up:"A new programming team at UPN looking to broaden the new network's audience beyond its current urban demographic, still expects Star Trek: Voyager, Moesha, and Malcom & Eddie to return. Clueless is likely to remain in the line-up, says UPN Entertainment executive vice president Tom Nunan, if only because UPN needs the product. "'It's still undetermined how quickly we will go to a fourth night and then a fifth, so we've told everybody to be optimistic,' says Nunan. 'Because we might need them.'" Local fans have campaigned hard to get UPN, and The Sentinel back in their area and we are pleased to report the following news.Aaron Barnhart, Kansas City Star reports: If you're a devoted Trekkie, chances are good you already know about the return of Star Trek: Voyager to Kansas City this weekend. For the rest of the viewing audience, however, TVKC offers this timely reminder: the UPN network's arrival at KCWB, Channel 29, begins today with a four-hour Voyager marathon beginning at 8 p.m. followed by a two-hour Malcolm & Eddie marathon at 1 p.m. Sunday. On Monday the regular UPN prime-time lineup resumes on Channel 29, while all the WB shows migrate to KSMO, Channel 62. The exception is kids' shows on weekdays and Saturday mornings, which stay put for the time being while the two stations work out a swap of the WB and Fox kids' franchises. It pains TVKC to write these words, but the Channel 29 listings in Sunday's Star TV supplement do not reflect these changes. The affiliate moves were reported weeks ago and were in the making for months, but they weren't formally announced until after the deadline for Sunday's Star TV. Channel 62 got its changes in, but Channel 29 didn't. As a result you'll have to check our daily TV listings to find out which UPN programs run when. Unless, of course, you're a Voyager fan, in which case you already know to tune in at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a two-hour showing. Then on Wednesday, April 8, Voyager, according to Channel 29, will air at 8 p.m., with The Sentinel at 7. THE SENTINEL, Paramount Network Television's action and special effects driven hit series, has added a new cast regular, noted Australian actress, Anna Galvin. Beginning production this week, Galvin portrays sleek, sexy and fearless Inspector Megan Conner of the Sydney (Australia) Department of Police Services who joins THE SENTINEL team as part of an international Officer Exchange Program. Conner severely tests the feminist enlightenment, not to mention the derring-do of Detective Jim Ellison (series star Richard Burgi). THE SENTINEL, in its third season on UPN, moves to a new time slot on Wednesday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with the episode Foreign Exchange which introduces Anna Galvin as Inspector Megan Conner. "We are extremely fortunate to have found Anna Galvin," said Danny Bilson, Executive Producer and Creator along with his partner, Paul De Meo. "We look forward to her providing new challenges for Detective Jim Ellison, both physically and professionally. This is a great opportunity to ratchet up our action/adventure quotient with the addition of a dynamic new member to an already great team. Besides, it will also be fun to have someone else try and keep Sandburg (series star Garett Maggart) in line." Classically trained at the Oxford School of Drama, Galvin has built a distinguished career on stage and television in her native Australia, in England and here in the United States. In addition to her popular portrayal of "Maid Marian" on The New Adventures of Robin Hood and other American television series including remarkably demanding stunt work in a starring role on the ABC series, Time Cop, Galvin co-starred in the popular international series, "The Genie Down Under." Her theatre work includes Peter Pan and The Tempest. Galvin, an accomplished Mezzo/Soprano, is also highly skilled in fencing and horseback riding. In Galvin's debut episode, Foreign Exchange, Inspector Megan Conner arrives at the Cascade airport from Australia and immediately commandeers a taxicab with a reluctant Blair Sandburg (Maggart) to assist Det. Ellison (Burgi) and Captain Simon Banks (series star Bruce A. Young) in bringing down an armored truck heist. The action ignites, in THE SENTINEL's signature style, as a world-class criminal band brazenly plots to knock over the Federal Mint by causing an electrical blackout in Cascade. Things are further complicated for the team when Conner is forced to reveal that the criminal ringleader is an Australian whom she was unable to successfully prosecute `Down Under.' THE SENTINEL is a Pet Fly Production in association with Paramount Network Television. Paramount Network Television is part of the entertainment operations of Viacom Inc. (Thanks Barbara) Ann has also located some photos of new cast member, Anna Galvin on the web from her stint as Maid Marian in The New Adventures of Robin Hood (on TNT -- she only played MM in season 1, apparently) at: http://www.oocities.org/Area51/Cavern/6330/marian.html (Thanks Ann) SENTINEL SOUNDTRACK AVAILABLEAn excellent soundtrack CD for The Sentinel was released by Sonic Images in late February.
