Chapter Five: "A Texas Wedding"
Collen stood there with the gun pointing right at Jesse, The four that were with Collen stood behind him, not sure what to do, Star said he wanted the Ewing alive. The first man, went up to Collen,
"Hey, Star wanted him alive." Collen looked at him, and without a word turned the
gun on him and shot him, then turn and shot the one behind him, Jesse had his gun out already and got the other two with in a couple of seconds. Now it was just Collen and Jesse. They looked at each other.
"I really thought you were going to shot." Jesse said.
"You know better, now come on, lets get back to town." Collen said, the two got on their
horses, and rode off, back to town.Collen knocked on the door, where Frank Star was. The door opened and and Collen walked in with Jesse right behind him, on a chain. Frank
appeared and started to laugh.
"So, the famous Jesse Ewing, chained, like an animal." Then Frank looked around.
"Where's the rest?" Collen, looked at Frank. "Jesse got'em, they tried to kill him, I told them to let me handle it, but they didn't trust me."
"Idoits." Star said, "Well, Jesse, are you ready to die?" Star looked right at Jesse, and put his hand on his gun. Jesse looked at him, with a little grin.
"I don't think I'm the one thats going to die" Frank pulled his gun, and cocked it, Then they heard a voice from behind them,
"NO, you can't." Jesse looked and there was Emily running up. Frank turned, his back, and Jesse took the chains off, and pulled his gun. Collen ran and grabbed Emily and
pulled her out of the way. Frank turned back around to see a gun in his face.
"Right now, out there, a showdown." Jesse said, he wanted Star, but he was a fair man. Frank agreed and they went out side. Jesse was standing across from Star,he knew Star would chet, but he was ready, They started walking toward each other, both were a little
nervous. but on pace six, Frank started for his gun. Jesse saw him, and then started with his gun. As Frank pulled his gun out a shot rang out and almost got Frank.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Both Frank and Jesse looked over to see a man they both knew standing in front of the Saloon. Emily looked at Collen.
"Who is that?" Collen looked, that is Jeffery Ewing. Jeffery just stood there and looked straight at Frank. Jesse looked,
" what in the hell are you doing here?" As the two started talking, Star ran off. but neither of them cared at this point. Jeffery looked at Jesse.
"I heard you were here, I'm sorry, I missed my brother." Jeffery went up to Jesse. "Can you forgive me?" Jeffery asked. Jesse looked at him, and just stood there looking down, not saying anything. "Listen, Jesse, I made a big, tragic mistake." Jesse looked
up,
"Yes, you did make a tragic mistake. One that caused us our brother." Jessie kept looking at Jeffery, "Yeah, we can try," Jesse said, and the two hugged. Collen went up to them.
"Jeffery," Collen reached his hand out, and shook Jefferys hand. Emily ran up to Jesse and the two kissed. Jesse looked at her.
"Lets get married. right now." She kissed him.
"Yes, I love you so much." They kissed, but were interupted by Collen.
"Thats nice, I'm happy for you, but one thing, why were you with Star?" Emily stood there, and started crying.
"It all started back when I met Jesse, we had just said good bye....."
FLASHBACK
"EMILY! I said get in the wagon, NOW!, AND AS FOR YOU MR. EWING, STAY AWAY
FROM HER!" Jessie looked at Emily,
"Please don't go" HE said, kissing her on the cheek. Emily, looked at her Daddy, then back at Jessie
"I'm sorry, I do love you. But Daddy is sick, he might not have alot of time,I....I have to go."
"I got in the wagon and has we rode off I watched Jesse stare at us, then he turned away, and soon after that, I saw men riding after us, for a minute I thought it was Jesse coming to get me, but then I saw men, all in black, they stopped the buggy and kiddnaped me, they shot daddy, I don't think they killed him. but he was hurt, and that was that, Star
told me that he would let me go after he was done with me, time went on, and I didn't think I would ever get away, until you rode into town and Star used me as bate, and now you all know the rest." Emily had stoped crying, and was holding onto Jesse. Jesse looked at her,
"Well, it's all over now, we'll get married, and forget all about Star. The two held
each other and walked off to find the judge, or the preacher.
Jesse and Emily stood before the preacher in the town church, Jeffery and Collen stood as the witnesess. The preacher looked at Jesse,
"Do you take this woman to be your wife, to love her, to cherish her, to always stay true?" Jesse looked at Emily
"I do." The Preacher looked at Emily and asked the same question, Emily looked at Jesse and said
"I do." The preacher then said.
"Then in the sight of God, and by the state of Texas, I pronouce you man and wife, you may kiss your bride." Jesse took Emily and kissed her, the preacher then said,
"I now present Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ross Ewing." Jesse and Emily walked out of the church and went towards the hotel.
