Jamie Luner ("Melrose Place") takes over the role of profiler in this stylish suspense-thriller, now in its fourth season. Luner plays Rachel Burke, a former prosecutor-turned-FBI profiler who joins the bureau’s Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF), an elite team that investigates serial crimes throughout the country.
The VCTF, which is headquartered in Atlanta, is headed by Bailey Malone (Robert Davi, "Die Hard"). In addition to Burke, Malone’s team of specialists includes Detective John Grant (Julian McMahon, "In Quiet Night"), a handsome, driven professional whose confidence is tinged with cynicism; Grace Alvarez (Roma Maffia, "Double Jeopardy"), a wisecracking but gifted forensic specialist; and George Fraley (Peter Frechette, "The First Wives Club"), a world-class computer hacker now on the right side of the law. Together, they pursue serial murderers, arsonists, bombers, perpetrators of hate crimes and other elusive criminals. "Though the show’s basic franchise remains the same, Jamie will bring her own unique combination of attractiveness, intelligence and humor to the character of Rachel Burke," says Executive Producer Stephen Kronish ("Wiseguy," "The Commish"). Since its debut in the 1996-97 season, "Profiler" has proven to be a hit among women 18-49 and adults 18-34, and the series has been the top-rated Saturday drama in women 18-34 each season. "Profiler" is a production of Three-Putt Productions in association with NBC Studios. Stephen Kronish and Clifton Campbell ("seaQuest DSV," "Moloney") are the executive producers. |
