Mayor Wilkins: She deserves that poor excuse for a creature of the night.

The Mayor has gotton Faith a present. A big honkin knife. In return, she has to run to the airport and get a package for him so he can complete the ascension. Cut to Buffy and Angel, fighting vamps, apparently completely back together, but in a rut. Buffy's unhappy with the state of their relationship.

Quick Commentary: When is she not? I swear, that is the most unhealthy relationship. And what is up with her hair??

Buffy got into Northwestern. She ca't break it to her mom that since she's a slayer, and since Faith turned bad, she can't go away to college. Next day, Willow reveals that she got into Oxford, MIT, Yale, and Harvard. Xander has gotton into Bohemian loife. Cordy won't tell anyone where she's going. Buffy, feeling a little left out, goes and asks Wesley if she can go off too, but he wants to talk about Faith and the Mayor's plans. Giles and Buffy decide to get them before the ascension, much to Wesley's chagrin. Meanwhile, Faith gets the package.

Buffy watches Faith deliver the Mayor's package. The Mayor won't allow it to be opened. Buffy attacks the driver to find out what the box is. She reports to the Scooby gang, and they decide to break it to get it. In town, Xander is walking by a store on the way to get some need spell ingredients and sees Cordy inside. He confronts her and she tells him, yes, she did get into college, thank you very much. Very good colleges at that. Afterwards, he meets up with Oz to set up for the spell. Buffy, Angel,and Willow set up to break into City Hall. She does her spell. It unenchants the box. Buffy does the Mission:Impossible thing, but unlike the movie, the alarm goes off. Angel comes to the rescue and big fights happen. They escape with the box. Faith has intercepted Willow, which gives the Mayor a happy.

Scooby gang freaks. Buffy decides they must trade. Vampire henchmen try to taste Willow, but she stakes him. She gets out, but goes to the Mayor's office to do some snooping. Reads books. Caught by Faith. Willow tells her off. Faith punches her. Mayor stops it. The trade is set up in the cafeteria. Buffy and the mayor meet in the middle. The mayor, of all people, has some alarming truthful insight into the unhealthiness of Buffy and Angel's relationship. Truer words never spoken. Synder and some police bust in. Police guy opens the Mayor's box and a big spider bug attaches itself to his face.

He dies. The spider scampers away. Everyone's an itty bit nervous. It attacks the Mayor. He heals in front of everyone. They recapture it and leave. Willow recounts the story. Giles asks about the Books of Ascenson, and she shows him some of the pages she stole. Later, Willow and buffy talk about the future. Willow decides to go to USC Sunnydale with Buffy because she wants to fight evil. And what better place to do it in?
