One day while walking through Section, Walter noticed that she was very pale..
"What's the problem ,Sugar? Are you feeling o.k. Maybe you should go over to MedLab and get checked out..."
"I'm fine Walter, I am just a little under the weather.."
He again encouraged her again to go and get checked out..Nikita shook her head nodded and walked away.
Walter still feeling uneasy over Nikita's condition decided to go to Michael . He knew if anyone could convince her to be checked out it would be him....
Immediately following Michael's talk with Walter he left his office in search of Nikita. For he too had noticed that something was wrong..
He looked all around the Section but could not find her..Instead he ran into Madeline. Without Michael saying a word she said
" If you are looking for Nikita I sent her home. I told her to take the rest of the day off. Maybe you should go and check on her."
Michael agreed. He left immediately on his way to Nikita's apartment. He took out his key which he had used so many times before, because he thought that she would be lying down on the couch or in bed..But as soon as he entered the apartment he realized she was in the kitchen cooking. This surprised him considering how sick she was earlier.
"How are you everyone noticed how pale you were today." Michael asked..
" I am fine Nikita insisted." I feel alot better now..I am starving..It feels like I have not eaten in days."
Michael felt alot better hearing that . But he remember that Madeline said to make sure he was o.k. And Michael really did not want to leave yet. He sat down across from the table as she ate. He noticed once again how beautiful she was. He watched her as she finished her lunch...
As Nikita was finishing up her food she stared over at Michael and noticed that he had rather an odd look on his usually emotionless face. Michael didn't even realized he was staring and was a little startled when Nikita said
"Is everything o.k. Michael?"
He straightened up and said "Fine. I was just thinking that I would call Madeline and let her know that you are doing better..In case she needs us back at Section.."
Nikita's face went from a smile to a frown. " Call Madeline and tell her that I am still sick and that you need to stay with me for a little while longer." Nikita pleaded..
Michael looked puzzled but did what she had asked...
"Madeline , Nikita is still a little sick" before he could finish Madeline said
" Why don't you stay with her a little while longer.. But I want you to make sure that she gets checked out by MedLab first thing in the morning."
Then they hung up the phone....After the phone call Michael asked her why she wanted him to do that..
Without saying a word Nikita walked over and kissed Michael on the lips. Michael was surprised but he returned the kiss..For Michael knew from Nikita's kiss what was about to happen..After all it had been two months since that magical night when they first made love. And that was what it was ,'LOVE'... Michael had wanted this to happen again but could not bring himself to let her know.
The kiss became harder, as their hands began to wonder over each others bodies.. All of a sudden Michael pulled away, But before Nikita could say a word he swept her off her feet and carried her to the bedroom...
For both Michael and Nikita this time was as wonderful as the first...He stayed with her for the remainder of the evening holding her in his arms. They really did not say much . They just laid there feeling the warmth that surrounded them....After several hours they got up...Then Nikita went in the kitchen to make her and Michael something to eat for they both needed something to replinish their spent energy..
After eating Michael said that he had to go home and freshen up. and that he would see her in a few hours back at Section. With that he kissed her on the forehead and turned to walk out.
"Michael" Nikita said all of a sudden." I will see you then." Michael smiled and left..
Nikita knew that was not what she had wanted to say, but she decided that would be better left for another time...And she got up and went and took a shower....

Later back at the section...
Once Nikita got there she went in search of Michael.. Of course she found him in his office. She walked in with a big smile on her face. And she noticed that he was also smiling, unaware that anyone was watching him....Nikita backed out and came back in a little louder.. When Michael looked up the smile was gone until he realized it was her...
" How are you doing today" Michael said..
Nikita respnded with a devilish grin on her face. " Just Great!!"
Michael smiled back at her . Nikita then walked the rest of the way in the office...
" Oh by the way" Michael remembered, "Madeline wants you to go to MedLab this morning just to make sure you are o.k."
Nikita's face turned grim as she said," I am fine now..I do not need to go and have them running all those tests on me."
Michael knew that it would be hard to get Nikita to go but he did not understand why she jumped at him so fast...
"What is wrong with you Nikita?" Michael asked with great concern in his voice..
But Nikita looked away from him. He stood her up and turned her around to see that her eyes were full of tears...
Michael looked at her for a minute and asked her again what is wrong..
Nikita said," I do not need tests to tell me what is wrong with me because I already know."
Michael took a small step back waiting for what was to be said next.. But nothing could have prepared him for what she was going to say...
"Im Pregnant...."
"Did she just say what i think she said? Could this be a dream?" Michael thought to himself.
And as if Nikita could read his mind she said," Yes I am sure.. I am about two months. It happened that night . Our night."
Michael had a ton of emotions come on him all of a sudden... He was going to be a daddy again.But would the same thing happen. Would he lose this child to the Section also. Then he remembered Nikita .He put his arms around her and he could feel her shaking.. Uncertain as to what was going to happen.. Then something very unexpected happened.
Michael simply whispered " I love you , Nikita."
She could not believe her ears. Had he finally said it?
" I love you too." Was all she could say before she put her arms around his neck one last time before she walked out of his office...
With her face slightly red from crying, She hurried to the bathroom to splash some cold water on her face..
After about an hour Michael emerged from his office...Still unsure of what feelings he should have.
Right about that time Birkoff ran up to him..." Nikita has been taken to MedLab, Madeline found her unconcious."
Michael rushed to be with Nikita...He was there when she came to.. They both knew what was about to happen ...What the results of the tests would be. They talked for a while about what they should do....Should they tell Madeline and Operations or should they let the Doctors tell them.... But they decided it would be better coming from them....They would tell them and then face the consequences..
Right about that time they heard a voice coming from the doorway...
"Tell us what?" Madeline said..
They turned to see both Madeline and Operations standing there...
Michael not knowing what to say stood there in silence..So Nikita decided that it would have to be her that told them...With that she grabbed Madelines hand and put it on her stomach and said..
" I'm Pregnant..." Not caring what they would do to her. For both her and Michael knew that seeing another operative was not permitted..
But to both of their surprise Madeline said, " We already know."
Both Madeline and Operations knew something had happened between them.. They knew that something had changed...
"When did you know?" Nikita asked..
" A few weeks ago , You are already starting to glow..."
Operations knew that what was done was done and there was nothing anyone could do about it now... So he did not even say anything.
"You both take about a month off . You have alot of things to talk about ... if we need you , we will call you.."
Then her and Operations left....Michael and Nikita left soon after...They went to Nikita's house. Nikita went and sat on the couch and Michael went and sat right next to her..
Nikita turned to Michael and said" I am sorry about this, I know what you must be going through."
Michael knew that she was referring to Simone...She knew that he went through this with her and then he lost both her and the child.
" It is not your fault . It is not like you did this all alone." he smiled. This also made her smile. They decided that this did not have to be such a bad thing.
Months past until it was near time for Nikita to give birth... Michael and Nikita was sitting there discussing whether this would be a 'Little Nikita' or a 'Little Michael'....Michael sat there looking at Nikita , beautiful, Pregnant and glowing and said,
"Will you marry me?".... Of course this was as unexpected as the first time he told her that he loved her.
" Are you sure Michael?"she said....
Michael smiled he had been thinking about this for months..He felt that he would not be betraying Simone's memory ...Because he loved Nikita with all his heart and soul... He had even talked to Operations about it..
Nikita was so excited when she heard this that she jumped up and screamed "YES!"
They did it within the week.. When they got back to the apartment Michael lifted up Nikita to carry her over the threshold..And sat her on the couch on the other side....
Nikita felt a jabbing in her ribs ..Michael asked her to stand up and see if the baby would relax... But when she did her water broke...Michael picked her up and rushed her to the Sections Hospital..
And after 23 and 1/2 hours labor she gave birth to a 6 lbs. 12 oz. baby girl...
They were so happy but they decided that this baby would grow up without any knowledge of the Section or what they do. This child would never be brought to the Section.. When Michael would go out on a mission, Nikita would stay home with Michaela...And when Nikita would have to go out Michael would stay home....On times when they both had to go on mission someone would come and watch her . But someone always protected her, while they were gone...
At first they were worried about leaving her knowing what they did about the Section...But they soon found out they had nothing to worry about.... For one day Nikita asked Operations why he didn't put up a fight when he found out she was pregnant , and why he did not make her give it up for adoption...
When she asked he simply replied, " You saved my son. And because of you he will be safe....Even though I cannot be with him, I love him very much.....I did not want you to know what it was like to have to grow up without your child."
Nikita had never seen him show emotion like this before.....But she knew he was sincere.
This set Michael and Nikita's minds at ease. For they knew that after this everything would be o.k. with their family.....
