The killer struck again---and Amaya found Sheila Tandy dead in an alley.

Now, tonight's episode...

The alley behind Main Street, sometime after midnight

Just like in the WBRE parking lot the night of Suzanne Haines' murder, reporters and onlookers are crowded all over Main Street, the news of Sheila Tandy's murder spreading like wildfire. Russell Gault is in front of the camera with WBRE anchor Evan Langley doing a special report.

"I know this is devastating for you Lieutenant Gault," Evan said gravely. "But can you tell me the details you have so far?"

Russell fault to keep his emotions in check. "We received a call at the station around 11:45 p.m. from a young girl that she had discovered Sh--a young woman dead behind a dumpster in the alley in back of Main Street. Wade--Officer Atherton and I responded to the call, and located Sheila's--Officer Tandy's body." He paused, struggling to keep his composure. "She was murdered in the same fashion as Suzanne Haines."

"So you believe a serial killer is on the loose?" Evan inquired in his news reporter's tone.

"It looks that way." Russell's eyes got misty. He was going to cry on camera and he prayed silently that Evan would cut the interview short.

As if reading his mind, Evan looked into the camera. "Thank you Lieutenant Gault for speaking with us." A few seconds which seemed like minutes passed, then Evan motioned for the cameraman to stop tape. Russell ran away to the side of a building, dropped to his knees, and he began crying. Evan noticed Russell running away, and a tear ran down his cheek too.

The killer was in the crowd, aroused by the number of people packed in the street. It was just like Times Square on New Year's Eve. They like the look and smell of blood too, but they're in denial about it, the killer thought nastily. Look at them. Instead of being home in bed sleeping or making love, they're out in the middle of a murder scene after midnight. But yet, they want to call me psychotic.

The killer smiled. If this is what the people want, then I'll gladly give it to them again---very soon...
