Child Protection Policy

It was suggested by Snowsport England, and Telford & Wrekin Council, that the club appointed a child protection officer (This become compulsory as of 2006).

The club appointed Jay Khalsa (Kirran's Mum) as the child protection officer.

Telford Ski Club is committed to:

Creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children and young people to participate in skiing activities.

It will do this by:

Ensuring that all the instructors and volunteers are carefully selected and accept responsibility for helping to prevent the abuse of children in their care.

The Club will:

Appoint a club child protection officer who will act as the main contact for parents, children and outside agencies and will be criminal records bureau checked.
