Think. That is not the problem. Do not try to make thoughts go away. Do not focus on anything specific. Allow everything to be just the way it is.
Thoughts arrive. Thoughts depart. Simply watch. Keep the awareness on the thoughts. As on everything. Anything. Just the awareness. Do not focus. Don't get attached to the thoughts. Nor to the process of meditation. Just sit.
Thoughts will eventually slow down. Not arrive. Not depart. While still there. Only when needed. The thinker is gone. Only the bodymind remains.
It is not two states of mind. One for sitting. One for everyday activity. It is not body and mind. It is bodymind. In one state of mind.
It is not practice and final result. Only practice. All the time. But it will take some time until non-thinking becomes all thinking there is. It takes more persistence than effort. Repetition. Like life. Patience that is good practice in itself. While living.
Until one day. Everything falls into place. Then continue to practice. As allways.
