The seed contains it all.

Tenko

The secret of Soto Zen
is just two words:
not always so.
Shunryu Suzuki

Searching for the Mind
is like looking for the footprints
of birds in the sky.

Zen Saying

Few people believe their inherent mind is Buddha. Most will not take this seriously, and therefore are cramped. They are wrapped up in illusions, cravings, resentments, and other afflictions. All because they love the cave of ignorance.
Fenyang

Everyone's got a nature.

Giving something a name limits it,
like saying Buddha this Buddha that.

Stuff is just stuff.

Kojoro

Think of not-thinking.

How?

Be Before Thinking.

Dogen Zenji

The most important thing is to find out
what is the most important thing.

Shunryu Suzuki

Zen is not objectivity on the expense of
subjectivity. It is beyond these limitations.
Elimination of the subject-object duality
enables us to perceive reality directly. Fully.
We become reality. As we already are reality.
Subjectobjectively.

Tenko

If you take care of each moment,
you will take care of all time.

Zen Saying

If you want to be free,
Get to know your real self.
It has no form, no appearance,
No root, no basis, no abode,
But is lively and buoyant.
It responds with versatile facility,
But its function cannot be located.
Therefore when you look for it,
You become further from it;
When you seek it,
You turn away from it all the more.

Linji

With awareness of how we are.
We are still who we are.

Tenko

It's matter over mind over matter, and half the time
it's all a waste of time, because the matter isn't
the matter you think it was.

Kojoro

It's logical:

If you are not going anywhere
any road is the right one.
