THE REALLY GOOD ONES NEVER GROW
OLD

CH
Sambong Jarra's (Bonny) greatest feats were winning challenge bitch
under breed specialist Roger Pugh (Rocellio) in 1992 and being the dam
of CH Warree Red Wallace. Bonny was booked to be mated to CH Parkstaff
Colonial Boy prior to the 1992 champ show and ironically Parkstaff
Colonial Boy was to win the challenge dog and Best in Show it had
to be fate that CH Warree Red Wallace was to be bred out of this litter.
Not only was Bonny a top winning conformation bitch she was also an
extremely athletic bitch winning many lure races with a very amusing
story about the showdown between Waurstafford Soldier ( Bullswool ) and
Bonny held at Toowoomba Greyhound Race Track. Both dogs set on the track
- WHACK the lure flies by Bonny on the inside takes off. Bullswool
straight over the top of Bonny straight over the inside rail and gone.
Making it a one dog race. Bonny chased the lure but Bullswool had
spotted a real hare in the middle of the oval and if you knew the old
Bullswool if he had a choice between a real hare and a fake one he was
going to choose the real one. Needless to say Bonny won the trophy but
both dogs won the night.
With Bonny being retired from the showring for ten years she gave her
gracious presence to the 2002 Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of
Queensland Open Show in Veterans and at 13 years of age she won best
opposite Veteran In Show with her life long companion and protector Ch
Sparpartner Lord Oden (Slick) winning Best Veteran In Show 10 years and
over with her son CH Warree Red Wallace winning Best Veteran In Show
7-10 years.
