Summary (Continued from the pages of Psi-Force #29):

Victor "Kleenex" Pasko spends most of his time in Angela's hospital room, watching over her, hoping she'll come out of the deep shock she suffered (see the last two issues). He decides to keep a journal, tired of expressing himself with clogged sinuses. He also believes, deep down, he has the heart of a poet, or "at least a Hallmark card." The first day he starts his journal, he goes to visit Angela again. Her eyes open, and he tries to think of something to say, but naturally just sneezes. Angela asks, in a far off, distant voice, where her father is. Victor says that he doesn't know, to which Angela nods and closes her eyes once more.

Justice is en route with the Medusa Web organization to Russia to find and kill Rodstvow, the paranormal who killed Psi-Hawk and nearly destroyed Washington D.C. He believes that if he does so, God will make Angela better. Currently the Medusa Web team, Psi-Force, and Justice, and Psi-Force ride together in a helicopter, trying to flee Soviet airspace after the former rescued the members of the latter from a Soviet prison/paranormal research facility. Kathy Ling, from Psi-Force, uses her telekinetic ability to destroy a pursuing Russian helicopter, as their reconnaisance escort is hit and crashes.

At the same time, Mr. Chauncy, Miriam "Playback" Morse, and Rudy "Shudderbug" Leialoha investigate rumors of paranormals hiding out at Coney Island, but so far, there are no signs of much activity save for the settling of ash from the destruction of Pittsburgh that covers everything and the changing of weather patterns, making New York uninhabitable.

Back at the Russian prison/paranormal research facility, Rodstvow breaks free of his prison, determined to find the Psi-Hawk children. Justice and the others fight a ground-based ambush, while waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop. It does. Red Sun, the Soviet paranormal team, charges into the fray. Shivowtnoeh ("Animal") attacks Justice, slicing his forehead open. A centimeter closer, Justice remarks, and she would have ripped open his face. He throws her, but she leaps and tackles him. Justice puts his sword hand on her head, intent on ending her torment before Thomas Boyd, the energy-leeching member of Psi-Force, attacks the creature. His energy-leeching ability quickly causes her to fall to the ground, and he begins to pummel her mercilessly, not stopping until Justice intervenes. Meaqnwhile, Coojeechiscue, another member of Red Sun who can make cubes of force, is informed that Rodstvow is on his way and, it is said, has become so powerful that he is willing to kill everyone there just to eradicate the Psi-Force team. The American extraction team takes the sign of the Russians pulling out to be a gift, allowing them to retreat. Justice tells Thomas Boyd that they cannot leave yet -- that there is still a matter of balancing the scales of justice. He is about to name Psi-Hawk as one of those who must be punished when Rodstvow, his now skeleton-like body covered by the fabric enabling him to survive, teleports into the sky above them.

To be continued .... in PSI-FORCE #30!
