Summary:

Angela lies in the hospital, still in deep shock from using her paranormal ability to raise and control the dead (see Justice #27). A doctor enters the room and checks her chart and I.V., only to be thrown out by Justice who thinks he's uncaring for looking only at the surroundings and not her.

Earlier: After finding the bodies at the cemetery, the groundskeeper called the police, and had the bodies taken to the morgue to find out who was who. Angela couldn't be questioned, the shock setting in heavily. She was then taken to the same hospital where Victor (Kleenex) resides. They wheel him in to identify Angela, and does so before contacting the NSC. Through them, Justice learns the fate of his daughter, and spends all of his time by her side. At one point, an older doctor enters with several students and describes her condition in cold, clinical terms. Justice gives them a lesson on what it means to annoy him, emphazing his point by disintegrating a piece of furniture in the room. Naturally, they run away as quickly as possible. Victor then enters, checking up on Angela. Justice is more convinced than ever of his mission to judge other paranormals when Victor says that Angela's demand for revenge didn't sound much like her.

Justice tracks down Updike, finds him swimming and tells him that he wants to go after Rodstvow. Updike refuses his intentions outright, but Tensen continues to argue the point, heating up the pool with his sword arm until Updike gives in, arranging a meeting with representatives from Medusa Web, a secretive terrorist organization who also intends to find the Russian paranormal.

Several hours later, at the meeting, Babel, Troublemaker and Imprint, three paranormal members of the Medusa Web organization, encounter Rudy (Shudderbug), sitting on the couch, reading. Troublemaker makes a comment about Rudy's weight as Imprint, the human videocamera, looks on. In response Rudy belches, at the same time using his earthquake ability. Troublemaker is led to the meeting room, where Justice is waiting. His mouth gets him into trouble, and Justice uses his shields to block off his windpipe to shut him up. Babel says that Medusa Web needs heavy duty power to help Psi-Force escape a U.S.S.R. stronghold, and Justice immediately volunteers, afterward heading to Angela's room to tell her what he will be doing and to say goodbye. He asks her for some sign of recovery so that this trip, this mission of vengeance, won't be necessary. Recieving none, he leaves. Moments later, Angela's left hand clenches into a fist.

To be continued .... in PSI-FORCE #29!
