To the End of the World

South America - A Travelogue

by Terrence Ho

I didn't really think of keeping a record of my other trips, except with maybe a few entries in my journal. However, from the very start, I had wanted to write a travelogue this time. The element of exploration and adventure was simply too strong to ignore. I wanted to record the events in as much detail as I could and as accurately as I could. It's dragging out to be so long that the numerous deadlines I set for myself had long come and gone. It's amazing how I already cannot recall the fine details of some events. The thoughts I had at the moment, I can still reconstruct; the emotions are impossible to re-experience. I am writing this travelogue with the hope that years down the road, I can perhaps come back, scratch off the patina of time, and touch again this part of my dream.
