Instruments: Guitar, drums, bass, clarinet, cowbell Early Performances: When she was little, she played in the church bell choir. In junior high, she played the clarinet. Yearbook honor: Voted most likely to succeed by fellow students. Early Infulences: Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Barbara Mandrell Favorite Color: forest green Favorite Guitar: A Martin D-28 150th anniversary model, that she got from her dad. (Terri still has it but doesn't take it on the road anymore because it has a hole below the pickguard from being played so much.) Moved to Nashville: June 1987 First Nashville Gig: Three days after arriving, Terri took the stage at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and was offered a job singing there for $15 a day plus tips. Early Security: When walking in downtown Nashville, Terri kept her guitar case tied to her wrist with shoestrings. FUN FACTS: Terri fractured her cheekbone in the City of Hope Softball Challenge in 1997, a fire broke out on her tour bus in 1997, she broke her left hand after falling off her new Harley-Davidson motorcycle in 1998 and her left shoulder was dislocaed when a fan pulled her arm while she was riding in a convertable, shaking hands in New Mexico in 1998.
