For you neonytes who have never seen a character sheet, this will give you an idea of their layout.

1 Name of Sheet in this case Vampires the Masquerade
2 Name of your character
Your name
The name of the city or chronicle that you are playing
(All pretty self-explanatory)
3 Nature: who your character truly is
Demeanor: who you wish everyone to perceive your character to be
Clan: your character's birthright
4 Generation: this will be a number once removed from your sire's
Haven: where your character choses to live
Concept: your job or purpose in the world
5 Physical Attributes
Strength, Dexterity, Stamina
These will determine how well you do anything that involves your body
(ie. fighting, dodging, dancing etc.)
6 Social Attributes
Charisma, Manipulation, Appearance
These will determine how goodlooking you are and how you deal with others
(used when making speeches or trying to feed etc.)
7 Mental Attributes
Perception, Intelligence, Wits
These will determine how well you might deal with situations that require brain power.
(ie. reaction time, investigating etc.)
8 Talents
These are abilities that you are embraced with
(ie. acting, athletics, dodge etc.)
9 Skills
that which is learned through training
(ie. driving, firearms, repair etc.)
10 Knowledges
these are learned traits as well but they have more to do with brain power than skills
(ie. languages, law, bureaucracy etc.)
11 Backgrounds
these are the advantages one has from birth or rebirth
(ie. money, contacts, social position etc.)
12 Disciplines
these are special skills utilized by vampires
(see Disciplines page for details)
13 Virtues
Conscience, Self-Control, Courage
exactly as they sound
14 Merits/Flaws
these aid or detract from various rolls that you will make
(ie.shyness will make social rolles harder)
15 Humanity or Path
Humanity designates how human your morals or beliefs are
Paths have a different system of belief for each one
(for details see Paths of Enlightenment)
16 Willpower
this designates your inner strength
IMPORTANT NOTE: Higher is better
17 Blood Pool
this will be used to pump up your character's strength or to heal them
how much you have is decided by your generation
18 Health
if injured this will show you the level of damage you have
it ranges from bruised, which really doesn't impede you
to incapacitated, which is self-explanatory
19 Experience Points or XPs
that which the storyteller hands out rather sparingly or so it seems
these you can use to increase most of the things above
