Arlyn in Canada

At the Vancouver International Airport.
Reunited Finally!

At 9:18 AM on Friday, April 17, 1998 Arlyn finally arrived in Vancouver, B.C., Canada!  She was greeted at the airport by her loving husband, Terry,
her new-found aunt Helen and our friend Rene, our chauffeur for the day!

ARLYN LOVES FLOWERS AND FLOWERING TREES
 . . .
(Click on the photographs below to see a larger image of each.)
Beauty! She can hardly believe all of the flowers we have in Vancouver.  Everywhere we go she sees flowers and flowering trees.  In Stanley Park small white daisies grow wild, as weeds, in the grass.  She felt like she was walking on a carpet of flowers.

Here she is in front of a flowering rhododendron hedge at our condo.

ADJUSTING TO THE CLIMATE
At Cleveland Dam Park on a chilly day. When she first arrived it was springtime.  Arlyn found it quite cool and still does at times, especially by the waterfront, when the wind is blowing off the ocean, or when it has been raining for a few days in a row and the sun isn't shining.   Here she is at the park at Cleveland Dam with the snow capped mountains in the background.

Snow ! ! !Arlyn touched snow for the first time at the Cypress Bowl ski area in West Vancouver a few days after she arrived.
