WINDS
OF CHANGE
Living
in a land with much to do
Makes one feel like machinery do
Never stopping to take a breath
Sometimes one wishes for a rest
Though chances come now and then
Culture determines what to do with them
Over and over it passes through the mind
Will one take a chance or wait a long time?
Scheming, planning wondering what to do
A chance is taken, will it change me too?
Now when travelling having a good time
Winds of change will improve my mind..

WHERE
TO NOW
Following
the trail together for so long
There were good times and bad
But no matter how hard we tried
The path was always rocky
Full of discontent
Oh how we yearned to be happy
Sensationally so
Such was not to be
You see life ebbs and flows
Sometimes happy, sometimes sad
How can this spirit of discontent continue?
Surely during the trail of life
One can achieve love, joy and hope
With someone who needs the
Same things as myself

MUSIC
OF SOUL
Working
through the barricades of real time
It's hard to determine which girl is mine
Should she be beautiful or even smart
One things for sure, she must have heart
But such a mix is difficult to find
Hope when it happens love will shine
Moving from coast to coast
Testing the waters for a love to share
When on your own there's nothing to do
Music of the soul will balance the blues
Singing, writing what feelings have to say
Reminds the soul that searching is the way.

THE
ART OF LOVE
With
the fortune of people
In such a state of flux,
Love is the one human emotion
Which connects humans to each other
It creates new rewarding friendships
Love partners and companions
Allowing people to survive
In a world so full of emotion.

UNDERSTANDING
From
time in memorial human relationships
Has taken center stage
It underpins our very existence
The romance, love and support
Humans give to each other
Is a treasure to behold,
Through the mysteries people share
A smile is brought to bear,
On the treasures humans hold so dear

PARTING
Sorting
through the processes of life
It's clear for all to see that many
Friends come and go
Leaving one without company
So when it's time to go for a move
New friends come to take their place
Regenerating faith in the human race
Bonds are formed just as before
Making it possible to stand the pace
From time to time it comes to pass
One good friend is better than the last
So when it's time to go for a move
The pain of parting turns on the blues.

OLD
WOMAN
Sparkling
with vim and vigor a little old
Woman came out of the East looking
For a place to stay
Thought she would rest a while by the
Dream Town Mill stream
Only then did she realize that she was
Not alone, for standing not far away
Stood a man she did not know
Tall and slender, he seemed to grow
Into the mirror image of a man she
Really wanted to know
Together they walked on into the night
Never looking back 'till they were out
Of sight, walking on the land
They now call home.

YOUNG
GIRLS
They
belong to the modern world
A few special girls who live away from the smoke
Always on the hop, sharing ideas
No time for a rest
Before they got things off their chest
The local gossip was their main stay
" Did you hear this? "
They could be heard to say
Chatting about what they heard during the day
Before running off to refuel and look
For more juicy fodder which could fill a book
Now they really meant no harm
That you could see
So long as there were stories for them to field
Life for them was one long lunch
Telling tales about the whole darn bunch
Lively, freewheeling and running around
Nothing was a worry for these
Juvenile folk

SHE
Wandering
through dreams of the mind
Purring with desire
She, surrounded by thoughts which mirrored such desires
Discovers a love so sensual it's a joy to behold
Unable to control her dreams from becoming a reality
She seeks to hide like a movie star
Dressed up like a playful cat
She displays her wares for all to see
Crossing the boundaries of humankind
Standing with peers, dancing with the young and beyond
She finds time in this mix of human emotion
To experience dreams held so dear
Dreams which are given life using a pencil or a pen
Thru overcoming the frustration building up from within
Enabling She, to cope with life
While remaining just a friend

THE
BUSH NURSE
Where
in the bush would you find a nurse
Who soothes away all the pain when you're hurt
Who delivers the babies night or day
Who provides some comfort when you're down
Who says hello when you're down town
Never one to run from a task
She'll get the job done if you only ask
So when the bush nurse is doing the rounds
Thank her for being a friend of your town

FRIENDS
The
sun rose on a crystal morning
Winter was at is peak
There he stood in anticipation
Of what lay ahead
Suddenly out of the morning mist
Two women arrived in their mobile chariot
Ready for a journey with
An unsuspecting westerner
Little did he know that the ideas in his head
Would soon be turned around
By two women from Arai-cho
Dressed for the occasion they set
Out for their destination
A day of shopping and wandering around
With the politeness of their kind
It soon became clear that these
Women of Arai-cho
Were a match for this foreigner
Showing their gentle and
Compassionate nature
They shaped his views to suit his day
Which brought joy in many ways
For these women now friends
Admiration grew
From start to finish they carried the day
On a journey of discovery these
Women led the way...

THE
WAY OF LIFE
Born
into an alien world that is
Structured neat and complete
Leaves one with the initial view
That life is a happy place for all who walk the street
But as time goes by we learn to speak
To walk by ourselves along the street of life
It soon becomes clear that
Life is not so neat and complete
The cultural place people call home
In many ways does not prepare us
For the lonely walk along the street
And as time goes by we learn to cry
To laugh and sing
To develop ideas of what life may bring
Soon it's realized that many days
Have come and gone
The spring in our step had begun to fade
Humankind reaches an understanding
That the journey through life
Is a road built on their experiences

FEELING
You
came into my life when it was least expected
The warmth of your touch
Laughter and sense of humor was
Like a breath of fresh air
Leaving on spellbound
Unable to breathe
Whenever you're close
Loneliness disappears
Zest for life gathers new momentum
When you're far away, pain
Frustration and loneliness
Returns to haunt my waking hours
Lost in the mist of human feelings
Unable to hold the line against the
Pull of such emotion
Struggling to come to terms with the situation
One ponders in the still of the nite
How can one copy with the
Mysteries of love?

EUROS
PRIMUS
She
lives in another world
So many kilometers from here
With her psychedelic hair
Skin so smooth, delicate and rare
That to touch her
Makes one breathless with desire
With feelings so intense
It's impossible to compare
Such desires, with the raunchy
Feelings of despair
Running the hands down her slender frame
Leaves one with trembling hands
Unable to hold the vibrant inspirations
Which demands such pleasure
What remains of the human spirit
Is left to draw upon the energy to cope
With the Euro Primus dare..

PROMISES
PROMISES
Listening
to what people have to say
Is part of the way life evolves everyday
People are promised many things
From the saying
" I'll always be here for you "
To more simpler ones like
" I promise to behave "
Then comes New Year with promises so dear
Everyone makes lists of what they'll do
It's a ritual which humans love to go through
Good intentions near and far
Throughout the world ideas travel far
Caught up in all the hype
Will such promises last the night ?
What's more clear in that promises made
Fulfill a desire to improve just a shade
Making it possible to start anew
Another year with love and friendship
Just to name two.

STRANGERS
WHEN WE MET
Traveling
into a world so different in culture
And geography, makes one tremble with a
Mixture of fear mixed with excitement at
The impending crossing on paths
Between two peoples
The mind is full of ideas as it strives
To come to terms with the difference
Names like Ogino, Asada, Ida,
Ishida, Furuhashi, Furukawa,
Joshikawa, Murai and Torii
How different they sound to the ones
Which abound in the land of my birth
Simple names like O'Toole, Chalker,
Jones, D'Esposito, Hanlon, King,
Spence, Scarfone, Schmelitschek,
Jakubowicz and Namatjira
The meeting of this cultural mix
These Japanese and Australian people
Soon would lay all fears to rest
As they discovered each in their own way
That the diversity of cultures is not an
Impediment to lasting friendship
With the discovery that differences which
Separate people, does not deny
Understanding among diverse cultures
They soon realize that the
Dissimilarity between groups has
The potential to provide a foundation
Upon which the structure of human
Development becomes a way of life.

PARTY
GIRL
Waltzing
through parties of the local town
Young Nicole found trouble changing her gowns
So she devised a way to let her hair down
By having parties in her night gown
The theme caught on and soon you could see
Many women climbing an old oak tree
Drinking, singing and clowning around
It was daylight before they would come down
But when they did and walked inside
The music was so loud it made you cry
Skipping, hopping and dancing to the beat
All they wanted was to hide under the sheets
Once they had refreshed their minds and feet
Nothing would stop them dancing in the streets
From that day on young Nicole really knew
That partying was the thing she should do
So on and on the party grew
Leaving her with nothing much to do
As friends became mates she shared it around
The planning for the parties all over town.

JOURNEYS
END
From
an idea which rose to meet a challenge
In the social development of a local community
There appeared a few brave hearts
Prepared to swim against the
Tide of complacency
Over a period of time their excitement grew
Bonds of friendships forged in the heat of battle
To meet the crescendo of social discontent
Unfazed by what lay before them
This group of warriors marched on, defying odds
Then when all seemed doomed
An unsuspecting ally Captain Coop
Rode to the rescue on his trusty steed
Joining his friends locked in battle
For their beliefs
The tide slowly turned in favor of the brave hearts
Reinvigorated by their success
The traveled far to
The Land Of The Rising Sun
Here at last they were among friends
Allegiances formed and commitments made
No longer were the brave hearts alone in the shade
Return they did to the Land Down Under
Ready and determined to sound like thunder
So wherever you travel around this land
Always be prepared for a brave heart stand.

ILLUSIVE
Wandering
through the darkness of a forest green
Walked a woman in a trance like state
Thinking about her life and dreams
She had features sculptured so superbly sheen
It left an impression for all to see
Lost in a cloud of mist and rain
Working through some human pain
It's hard to imagine what she had to gain
On and on she walked and thought
Soaked to the skin she became so distraught
Slipping, sliding and stumbling on
Finally she reached the place where she belonged
Running inside she threw herself down
Now was the time to think really sound
Fighting off the feelings of misery and despair
She finally got on the road to repair
Laughing, crying and spinning around
It was time to be happy all year around

THOUGHTS
Thinking
about a woman so rare
Not a day passes when
I don't think she's there
Passing through my mind
As if on time
Sending my heart into a whirl
Why did she have to be such
A beautiful girl
Full of fun and cheer
Always wanting to hold her near
The power of my mind
Keeps her entwined
Within the thoughts of my mind

MYSTERY
LADY
Not
wishing to be known
To the world at large
Passed by in her car
With tinted windows
And a bodyguard
She passed right by
Into her mirage

SITTING
HERE
Waiting
here alone
Seeing if you would come home
Not knowing where you were
The passion inside me rose
Then peering through the night
Your shadow came and touched me
Now I am not alone

THE
LOOK
You
come online
Looking like a star
Then you stop to look
But I wonder how far
What are you thinking
What are you dreaming
Who is that woman
Behind the look

HER
WISH
Floating
through the night
Unable to see the light
Wishing that someone
Would send her a poem
Which she would like
Granting her desires
An Aussie man presented her
With her poem
Which hopefully she would like
