Great Cats From My Past

"KitKat" was my daughter Vanna's cat. We got her from friends when Vanna was three. She loved Vanna dearly, slept on her bed, soothed her childhood griefs and was her shadow for 15 years. KitKat had a few white hairs in her black-brown fur and in front of her ears. She was a great talker and would purr so loudly, you could hear it in the other room. Even towards the end, sick with inoperable cancer, the purr could not and would not be stilled. When the end came, Vanna couldn't bear to part with her...so KitKat was cremated and her ashes sealed into a brass urn. A local trophy company engraved KitKat's name, "beloved companion" and dates for free when they heard about it.
