How Can A Naturopath help me?
A Naturopath is a practitioner of Natural Medicine who incorporates holistic health principles and diagnostic techniques with traditional and scientifically advanced drug-free medicines and treatments.
Our aim is to bring you back into balance without compromising other physiological processes (and further complicating the problem like some forms of treatment), and to reduce any discomfort and maximise overall health and well-being.

After a Naturopathic consultation, you'll realise there is a lot more to your particular health symptoms than you may have thought. Be ready to be proactive with your health and seek the tools to help yourself feel great again instead of to merely 'cover up' your symptoms. You will not be talked out of using conventional treatments - many natural treatments are actually compatible with those prescribed by your Doctor. In some cases interactions are likely so your Doctor and Naturopath need to be informed of any new medicines that you are taking.

Ailments that respond well to Naturopathic Treatments:

Digestive disorders ie. Irritable bowel, liver dysfunction, indigestion, Skin complaints ie. Eczema, Acne, Psoriasis, Muscular problems ie. cramps, muscle pain, Bone or Joint Problems ie. Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, injuries & oedema, bruising - Natural Pain Management, Infections - bacterial, viral, fungal, Low immunity and Respiratory disorders, Urinary tract and kidney weaknesses, Endocrine disorders ie hormonal imbalances: thyroid, male, female, insulin, adrenal etc. Menstrual complaints ie. PMT, period pain, Menopausal discomfort. Mood imbalance ie. Anxiety, Depression, Allergies ie. Hayfever, food environment, Stress, Anaemia, Chronic Fatigue, 'feeling sluggish', poor memory, concentration & many more.....

What can I expect from my appointment?

A thorough case history is taken including your medical and family health records. Tests and examinations will be performed or requested when appropriate, health and dietary information may be given to you.
You will be issued with an intial prescription and occasionally some medicines from the clinic.
After that you will be then seen for a follow up appointment - in most cases a treatment program will have been developed for you to complete your initial treatment protocol. This gives you some valuable 'self-help' tips to get you back on track. A practitioner that encourages your input and effort will be more likely to get you a more positive and permanent shift towards optimal health.

Appointment times are generous to help get the source of the problem.
A 'standard' first visit for a Naturopathic appointment takes one hour and your follow up, half an hour. With more chronic (long term) problems you are treated in stages focused on 'undoing' the biochemical phases in which the disease developed. This tends to move towards helping resolve the problem and reduce further reoccurrence or relapses. Book today for your W.O.F!
