My ship was swiftly sinking          beneath the turmoil and the strife.

Then a voice in the darkness            calmed the angry sea.

And reaching out His hands            of love from the depths He rescued me.

With His peace, love and mercy        He shelters us from the storms.

And guides us safely   home  again   when we're battered , weak and worn.

    Like a beacon in the darkest night I can see the light of day.
 
For His love will safely lead us home. He's our rock, our hope, our stay.

               Precious Lord Jesus, be near me now I pray.

    And wash away my doubts and fears, cast all my burdens away.

             And let your light shine Lord, so others will truly see.

    A reflection of your undying love. Shine down your light on me.
