DO IT AGAIN- The Album version of this track features a brief sample of the infamous "Woodshop Song" in the fade.  Don't know why,  though.

OUR PRAYER- Pretty much lifted straight from the SMiLE original, with some very subtle 1968 overdubs.

CABINESSENCE- Assembled by Carl, to Brian's original vision, from three SMiLE fragments- "Home on the Range", "Who Ran The Iron Horse?" and "Grand Coolee Dam".  Carl's lead vocal was overdubbed in '68- thanks God he diddn't put any bloody moog all over it!

SUN FLOWER

COOL, COOL WATER- This track evolved from the water section of the "Elements" suite: "Love To Say Da Da."  The 'chant' section was actually recorded durint the Wild Honey sessions- the results can be heard on the GV box set.

SURF'S UP

SURF'S UP- Assembeled by Carl, only this time, definetly Brian's original vision.  For this version, Carl took a SMiLE back track if the first movement, overdubbed his lead bocal and possibly some horns (not sure).  From "Dove-nested Towers" onwards, we're hearing the SMiLE-era oiano-only performance, released in its entirety on the box set, with everything else overdubbed.  Then, at "A children's song..." they Boy's break into a re-recorded, slightly modified version of "Child is Father of the Man", another SMiLE era track.  Some sources claim that upon hearing this track, Brian burst into tears; not as bad as that, I think.

HOLLAND

CALIFORNIA-  Although this song was an original by Al Jardine, it did however "borrow"  parts of the chorus line from "Cool Cool Water", a SMiLE track.
