First Generation  

1. Roy Allen WOODHOUSE was born on 6 Dec 1898 and died on 11 Mar 1961 at age 62.

Roy married May Elizabeth ADDISON Woodhouse, daughter of Joseph M ADDISON and Loucinda May UNKNOWN Addison, on 7 Sep 1926. May was born 1901 (approx) in Manitoulin Island, ON and died in 1954 in Manitoulin Island, ON at age 53. The cause of her death was Heart Attack.

General Notes: May Elizabeth was the oldest child of Joseph and Lucinda. She completed High School and immediately started teaching school in a rural school about 12 miles from her home in Silver Water. She taught in Silver Water as well. She moved to the North Shore (the area from Sault Ste Marie to Espanola) to teach in the mid 1920s where she met Roy Woodhousewho worked as a section man on the CPR. They married in 1926 and moved to Parry Sound shortly after when Roy's father, who was a station agent for CPR was poster there. May became quite ill in the 1930s with Pernicious anemia and nearly died. She was saved by a massive blood transfusion. Roy worked all through the Depression but nevertheless, times were tough and the family, like many others, was poor. When the war started there was a shortage of teachers and May went back to teaching in 1943. She continued to teach until her death at age 52 from a heart attack.

2. Aileen WOODHOUSE McKinnon was born on 24 Feb 1928 in Manitoulin Island, ON.

Aileen married Walter Lindsay McKINNON on 21 Jun 1947. Walter was born on 2 May 1921.

   6 F    iii. Donna May McKINNON was born on 28 Feb 1956.

3. Herbert (Bert) Addison WOODHOUSE was born on 16 Nov 1929 in Manitoulin Island, ON.

Herbert married Delena Isobel McCAULEY Woodhouse on 29 Jun 1951. Delena was born on 11 Jul 1931.

John married Deborah PAQUETTE Woodhouse on 10 Aug 1985 in Parry Sound, Ont. Deborah was born on 10 Jan 1959.

10. Mark Edward WOODHOUSE was born on 29 Nov 1956.

Mark married Susan Baird SCARFE Woodhouse on 12 Oct 1985 in Parry Sound, Ont. Susan was born on 12 Apr 1960 in Ayr, Scotland.
