The Fisherman
DolPHINS shOW tHE WAy

Ninety miles across the sea:
Dolphins...waving the barco on!
Pilot, kin revered the sight:
"Madre!" "Milagro...!" Mystery:
One lone nino...ringed in night;
Nestled; lifted; ringed from harm.

Ninety miles across the sea:
Pescardor cleaved the watery grave;
Kinsman looked on as lubbers do;
And dolphins trumpeted with glee
As sole nino--of the sailed-off few
From Cuba's breast--alone was saved.

tHE TALe nOW ToLD

Ninety miles across the sea:
And kinsman marveled the prize
--Nino's tale: being "nose" cupped
By dolphins; of dark hours; and he,
Pescador here who wouldn't give up...
Who now steered on toward Paradise.
