My First Ride
OK, so I admit that it isn't the most awesome bike you've ever seen, and it definitely isn't the fastest bike you've ever seen either. But considering I bought it with my own money and I was only 16 at the time, I did alright. This all started my passion for riding. It was in the summer of 95, when I bought this 93 Suzuki Katana 600. It was plain as hell and no frills. I got a helmet with it and that was it. But there is a story. Once I was working on my license, I started shopping for bikes. I found this one and I decided that I wanted to buy it. Of course, my dad didn't approve. He said, ''Son, your not going to buy a bike, your going to save your money for college.'' So the next day I went and drained my bank account and bought this Katana. I knew he wouldn't approve of it, so I kept it at a friends house. It was all good for about 2 weeks, until somehow my dad found out, and then went over and talked to my friends parents. I was in some deep doodoo for awhile with everyone, my parents and my friends parents. But now we all look back on the situation and laugh. My dad did make me sell it, but that was alright, cause I sold it for $500 more then I paid for it and I kept the $200 AGV helmet. So It was all worth it, although I wouldn't recommend this approach to any of you guys out there.
I eventually replaced this with my 73 Camaro LT. Sadly enough, I didn't really miss my first bike, but hey, it was a Can-of-tuna !!
