Team Green ZX-7R

I bought it in July of 99. It was my 1996 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R. These first set of pictures are of when I first bought it. This way you can see all the trick things I've done to it. Basically pretty traditional stuff, but it looks 100 times better.

Here are pictures of what my Ninja ultimately looked like. I have done many upgrades to it. I have put on a Lockheart Phillips Speedscreen and Pro-Grip gel grips, Second Look matching tank bra and seats. I have aftermarket mini carbon fiber signals and I've cut out the original bulky rear fender. I have new Renthal sprockets(-1/+3 teeth) and a Regina Gold Chain. I've also inverted the shift pattern to GP racing format. And I've scrapped the original reflectors that came on it.

I made some headlight covers of my own. My brother had a GTS SolarWing that fell off his car, so he said I could cut it up. So I stenciled out the shape of the headlights on my 7R, then I put the stencil on the old SolarWing and scratched it in. Then I cut it out. The headlights aren't flat though, so I kind of test fitted the covers to see how they needed to be bent, then I held them in a toaster for a little bit till they got warm enough to bend. I did that a few times until they were bent pretty well to fit the contours. Then I put a few pieces of velcro in all the corners and stuck them on. They've stuck on the bike, even with excess speeds, so I think they'll work. I ended up driving this bike for about 2 years, then I traded her in on something newer, bigger, faster and better.
