New Advantages | New Disadvantages | New Skills | New Spells
Blessed (variable): New additions to the Blessed advantage (p. CI31) include:
Faerie-Walker (variable): See "Travel to and from Faerie" for a description of this advantage.
Shapeshifter ("Were") (variable): New types of weres are described in "Nonhuman Races of Arcadayn: Shapeshifters ("Weres")".
Faerie Codes of Honor (variable): Some faeries have racial or tribal codes of honor, the most notable being Brownies and some Tuatha. [Details will be given in the individual racial templates when those are made available.]
Sign Language (Kaggen) (Language, Mental/Average): Because of anatomical differences, the sign language of the Mantis-Men is difficult for humans to perform: Humans have -2 penalty to skill with this language, and can never have skill higher than DX (plus Language Talent and Manual Dexterity).
Sport (Hurling) (Athletic, Physical/Average): This grueling team sport somewhat resembles modern lacrosse, but with solid sticks, harder balls and no protective gear. Games frequently end with serious injuries on both sides--and sometimes degenerate into real melee combat. (Serious players should have good HT, High Pain Threshold and Toughness.) Hurling is popular in Haldinibar and among many faerie races. Most faeries insist on playing with one mortal on each team; these mortals will be generously rewarded--if they survive the experience. [See GURPS Celtic Myth, p. 22, about "Hurley".]
Shapeshifting: Caracal (VH) (Animal): See p. AN95 about caracals (desert lynxes). This form has ST 6, DX 15, IQ 4, HT 14/9, Move 10, Dodge 7, DMG 1d-3 cut (claws and bite), size 1 hex, weight 45 lbs. The subject gains Acute Vision +2, Night Vision, Super Jump 1 and Stealth-18. Cost: 6, 2 to maintain.
Shapeshifting: Owl (VH) (Animal): This form has ST 2, DX 14, IQ 4, HT 12/7, Move 13 (flying), Dodge 7, DMG 1d-3 cut (beak and claws), size 1 hex, weight 15 lbs. The subject gains Acute Vision +2, Acute Hearing +2, Night Vision, Winged Flight, and Stealth-16 (including bonus for silent flight). Cost: 6, 2 to maintain.
