Kuldor rights wrongs, punishes the wicked and avenges those who cannot avenge themselves. Kuldor does not have an organized priesthood. Instead, he occasionally grants special powers to a petitioner who needs divine help to right a wrong committed against them or a loved one. Once this "champion" avenges himself, he is expected to continue serving Kuldor by helping others who have been wronged. When a "Holy Avenger" learns of such a need (either by a request for help or through his own information-gathering), he must determine guilt and act to achieve justice. An avenger also keeps track of those who try to avoid the consequences of their actions. Because they are vigilantes, they are not appreciated by local governments.
Kuldor is usually depicted as a muscular man with a bull's head. His symbols are the scourge and fetters.
Prerequisites: None, but Holy Avengers are expected to learn Detect Lies, Law and several thief/spy skills to help them perform their new calling.
Holy Avengers have Clerical Investment (one rank maximum) [5], Danger Sense [15] and Fanaticism (justice/vengeance) [-15]. There are no recognized holy days.
These priests do not get divine magic, but instead get Divine Favor (minor god) [base 20]. Those with positive reaction modifiers for Divine Favor also get Magic Resistance [2/level] equal to that bonus (maximum MR 5).
Avengers who specialize in fighting a particular type of crime may qualify for the Higher Purpose advantage [5].
Within most lawful societies, these vigilantes should take a disadvantage like Enemy (local law enforcement, 6 or less) [-10], Secret (risks imprisonment) [-20], or Social Stigma (outlaw) [-15].
