I Don't Want To Be A Magical Girl!

I should explain this. I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl! is this (dead-end) manga that I've been plotting for a while. Unlike my friend Kai (who has like 7 dead-end manga ideas...I only have 2. And this is my big one. I love drawing Mitsu everywhere. Oh, I should probably tell you about the story. Ok! It's about a young non-conformist girl who finds a box on the ground when she's walking home from school one rainy afternoon. Unaware of the curse it'll place on her she takes it home and opens it. Out pops Pancha (who you might see in a few of these pictures), a magical girl mascot-type character who tells Mitsu she's the newest member of a long line of magical girls. Mitsu doesn't want anything to do with it and lots of comedy ensues. ^_^ Okay, I'll shut up now, I'm sure you only really want to look at the art. I'm sorry that a lot of this stuff is on lined paper. I know it's ugly...but they're pretty much all from school.

[Cast]»» Here's all the characters as I drew them back in high school. Sadly, the paper met a tragic fate with a puddle before I had a chance to scan it. T_T Sorry about that. Please ignore the wrinkles in the paper.

[Monster] »»Silly 2 minute doodle. Means more if you've read the script...

[Pretty Mitsu] »»Wow. Crappy Spring Break doodle. Yeah, I was just bored and doodling. Mitsu looks way too...'man-ish' here for my tastes. I mean, she's not supposed to be your typical shoujo...buuuut...well, you know.

[Pancha's Magical Wardrobe] »»lol. I love this picture. The continual humiliation of Mitsu. I'll give a cookie to whoever can name all the anime that those outfits are from.

[Doodle Page] »»A bunch of doodles. I changed Pacha's wings from angel wings to faery wings (they were easier to draw... T_T). OH! And there's a cameo in these doodles! I decided Mitsu needed a best friend, and I was having a complete brain fart - so I drew Tamsin! I think she looks adorable. teehee. So Tamsin is her best friend - consider it a huuuuge thank you for inspiring me. ^.~ There's also chibi heads of Mitsu's parents (they don't have names yet). Her mom is a sweet, innocent type...and her dad is...er...well, her dad is like a smoking Carrot (Bakuretsu/Sorcerer Hunters reference). teehee.

[First Hour Hell] »»Based on personal torture...I just put Mitsu in my spot. If you can't read the dialouge between the girls in the back...let me help you out. "Oh my God! I saw the CUTEST jean jacket!" "NO WAY!". Yeah. I hate girls.

[SD Mitsu] »»The first doodle of Mitsu in her regularly scheduled civvies. Yeah, I liked the 'Punk' shirt and the baggy trousers. They suit her, ne?

[Civvies Design] »»Putting Mitsu in civvies. This outfit looks disturbingly like my favourite outfit. lol. Coincidence? I think not!

[Costume Design] »»Aaaah...the first picture. Originally, Krish had asked me to design an outfit for her magical girl (which I'm pretty sure she didn't use - but that's okay because her drawings are so adorable and her designs are so perfect that she doesn't need my help). Anywho, this was the first one I had done - and it is sooo not Krish. I guess I was just feeling bitter or something. The little SD Mitsu in the bottom was drawn later. Since then, Mitsu has lost the ponytail and the wings...
