STATUS: Heel, apparently, after she turned on Terri Gold at the Feb. 4 PPV.
WRESTLING: Selina trains the other WOW women, and it shows. She has busted out all kinds of moves and reversals, although her favorite move by far is the Stunner. To say that she can take bumps would be an understatement.
CHARACTER: We have yet to see her in her heel incarnation, really. As a face, she was ok on the mic but didn't have a lot of presence. One of the funnier WOW moments was when she threatened (as she often did) to kick Thug's fat ass, and it came out "I'm gonna kick your fass." To be fair, though, the storyline about Selina's broken (and re-broken) knee would have required a damn good actress to put over, because it was so melodramatic. Fans never really bought into the angle, which no doubt prompted the heel turn.
LOOKS: Selina is in good shape, and would look a lot better with a decent hairstyle. But let's face it, she has taken a lot of hard knocks and looks it.
COMMENTS: I see why WOW wanted to turn Selina heel. Her previous goody-goody "oww, they're hurting my knee" incarnation was not going over. Unfortunately, a consistent problem with WOW writing cropped up, which is that they forgot to set it up first. WOW spent many, many weeks selling us Selina as courageous victim, advocate of fair play, etc. etc. The whole feud with Thug and Harley's Angels got a lot of screen time and, if nothing else, pounded that characterization of Selina into us. Therefore, it is not at all believable that Selina would suddenly turn on Terri when Terri was following the rules and trying to do her best. If they wanted us to buy the turn, there should have been a more complex story behind it. All that said, a Selina/Terri feud will at least be interesting.

- Selina interfered in the Terri Gold-Thug match, apparently meaning to hit
Thug with a trashcan lid but laying out Terri instead. The show then immediately
ended, so it's totally unclear where this is going. It certainly wouldn't make
sense for them to give up on the Terri-Selina feud before even beginning to
develop it. Maybe Selina has just completely lost her mind altogether?
3/4/01 (show #22):
- Okay, they showed the ending of show #21 in full, and Selina went on to hit
Thug after she hit Terri. It seems clear that she meant to hit them both, so
I guess she has beef with both of them, which does make sense. I still don't
know whether last week's cutoff was unintentional or intentional (and if the
latter, what it was meant to accomplish).
