Charlie Davidson and EZ Rider

STATUS: Heels. Tag team, "Harley's Angels" (managed by Thug).

WRESTLING: They go with power moves, as befits a couple of brawling bikers...elaborate technical wrestling or aerial acrobatics would probably not make a lot of sense. Charlie seems a little more advanced, and stronger, than EZ. They're ok. EZ's most notable move is the "Bronco Buster", which of course is meant more to humiliate than to harm. Sometimes it looks absolutely awful, sometimes it looks okay.

CHARACTER: Well, they're supposed to be raunchy bikers, obviously. They have yet to be distinguished from each other in terms of personality. Despite getting all kinds of screen time, I don't think they have gotten over in any meaningful way. They have been stuck in the Selina Majors epic, and that whole angle was too over-the-top to establish Charlie & EZ as believable badasses. On the mic, they go for crowd pops and usually don't get them. "Harley's Angels in the house!" and "We'll turn you into roadkill!" have not caught on as catchphrases, and really, I don't see why they would. Charlie gets extra credit for being one of the most accessible wrestlers on the WOW message board.

LOOKS: I think both would look really good if they were packaged that way, but because of the nature of their characters, they're not. I have to quote Dean Rasmussen here, because no one could ever say it any better. "EZ and Charlie are what we as men would WANT biker chicks to look like, whereas in reality it would just be three chicks who look like Selina Majors."

COMMENTS: I personally think that putting the Angels in the tag team championship was a little too much too fast. I would like to have seen Lana/Patti there...at least Lana and Patti aren't supposed to have skills on par with Caged Heat. The Angels have potential and may get over eventually, but they really need to be put in a different angle besides the Selina thing.

2/25/2001 (show #21):
- The Angels continue to feud with the tag team champs, ensuring that their push will continue. Let's see what they can do with it.

3/4/01 (show #22):
- I think EZ wants to be in Caged Heat. "HARLEY'S ANGELS IS IN DA HOUSE!!!!! DAT'S RIGHT! HARLEY'S ANGELS, BAY-BEEEE!" (complete with "rapper" gestures). Ummm, okay.
