| -April 6th 2001-about 2 in the mornin- Howdy! Lets see whats goin on...Oh yeah the chuckas are playin a show today at brady's (from the psychotic squirells). He just got finished building his half pipe and hes havin some bands and skaters come break it in. Its gonna rock. Also we got a huge show comin up the day after at about 6 oclock.Its at Arlands house and its gonna be the biggest GxCxPxRx show to date. Bands playing are- THE CHUCKAS, WHATS THE USE, 451, MISTER FISTER, MEANINGWELL, PSYCHOTIC SQUIRRELS, THE POTATOHEADS. Also SLOP TAINT will be playing their first show. Theyre an acoustic punk duo featuring matt from THE CHUCKAS and joe from THE POTATOHEADS. Not only that but THE SLUGGERS will be makin their debut. THE SLUGGERS features members of WHATS THE USE and THE CHUCKAS, plus some other guy no one knows named LEE. Anyway hope to see you at the show-its gonna rock. | -April 7th 2001 1:28 in the AM- What a night. Tonight we played our biggest show at Arlands. I meant to take a bunch of pictures for the site but I forgot my camera!!! AHHHHH!! If you missed it heres what happened. First band to play was SLOP TAINT. They played one original and an operation:cliff clavin cover. It was funny because its was just so stupid. Acoustic punk rules! Next WHATS THE USE really started things off with an awesome show. This was their first show in grayson county and were proud to have them as part of the scene and GxCxPxRx family. Id have to say the high light of their set was either "are we dead yet" or "unity". Either way they rocked. Then MISTER FISTER played. They also rocked. This is also thier first grayson county show. They had a more mellow kind of sound but they were still awesome. Oh yeah theyre drummer banana man wore nothing but suspenders a bow tie and spedos. Needless to say i saw a little to much of him. Then everyones least favorite band THE CHUCKAS took the stage.We played a decent show-it was way better than our last one but it wasnt our best. The crowd wasnt really into us tonight. Oh well-we'll keep on playin. THE SLUGGERS also played their first show-1 song and it was a cover-they have potential. Then 451 closed with 6 songs. 451 was great. This was their first Grayson county show but hopefully it wont be their last. They defeinately are good at what they do and it shows. I scored a sweet 451 button and patch. Anyway the chuckas just wanna thank all the bands that played. We'll probably have another show in a month or two and hopefully we can have all the bands come back and rock again. Oh yeah THE PSYCHOTIC SQUIRRELS didnt play because they were busy. THE POTAOTHEADS didnt play beacuase of time conflicts, and MEANINGWELL didnt show-anyway we hope to have them all with us at the next show cuz theyre all 3 great bands and good friends of ours. Also thanks to all the people show showed up and wore our crappy patches to support us.GxCxPxRx. Later |
