There are a number of questions that I have tried my utmost to find answers to over the years but to no avail. Having drawn a blank on all possible channels I can think of I wonder if anyone can help with further information on any of the following queries? If anyone is able to provide any help or assistance please contact me!

Sidney Jones died in Kew in 1946, which means that the copyright on his compositions doesn't elapse until 2016. However, noone seems to know who the current copyright holders are or how they can be contacted. This effectively makes any revival of much of Jones's music unlikely. In 1978 Alan Hyman, when he was researching material for his book Sullivan and His Satellites, was able to track down a number of descendants, including Jones's son Arthur and daughter Dorothy, but where are they now? |
