Broken Hearts - Broken Dreams (part 4)

Quatre is sleeping when he hears the door open. He open one eye, so that no one would notice he's awake. He saw Lindsay standing on the door.
"Trowa... Will you come, please?"
Trowa turn to look at Quatre, the walk out.
Outside, Lindsay stand in front of Trowa. She was crying.
"Oh. Trowa... I had that same nightmare of the murder of my family." she then hug the taller pilot. "Please... I need you to come and stay with me."
Trowa push the girl away.
"I can't... I don't want Quatre to misunderstand."
"And so what! Let him think whatever he wants! I NEED you Trowa!" the girl again hug Trowa.
"I'm sorry... but I won't"
"OK... OK... Just come with me a while... After I'm asleep you can leave!" she sounded so dispirited. "Please, Trowa... I'm just so scared."
"Lindsay... I..."
"Trowa... You are the only person that makes me feel sure... In your arms, all my fears go away... Will you people hug me?"
"Let's head to your room."
"Hug me, Trowa... I need someone to lean on."
"I won't..."
"Please..." Lindsay put Trowa's arms around her. "I need to be near to you." she rest her head on his chest.
She look up at Trowa. "I just... love you so much." She tip toed and reach for Trowa's lips.
Trowa separate himself from the girl.
"Oh... Did we awake you?" Lindsay look behind Trowa.
Trowa turn around. He wished with all his mind that it would just be Heero, Duo, or Wu Fei... Anyone but...
"Ah... It's... It's OK." replied a smily Quatre. "I'm sorry if I... interrupted, good night."
"Quatre... " Trowa called.
Quatre wiped his eyes as he felt tears coming. "Don't worry, Trowa... I already told you... Everything is just fine."
Quatre walk in the room and close the door.
"Quatre!" Trowa walk to the door and tried to open it. "It's locked."
"Trowa... Why do you make such a big deal, he saw us, so what!"
"Shut up... Just... Shut up!" Trowa hit the door. "Quatre... Quatre open the door... We need to talk!"
Lindsay cross her arms.
"Trowa... " she called.
Trowa ignored her and kept hitting the door. "Quatre... Quatre open please!"
"Trowa... Trowa!" she called again.
But the green eyed boy would just ignore her.
"Trowa stop it!" she exclaim.
Trowa stop and turn to look at her.
"You know... There's no use for you to pretend nothing happened!"
"What are you talking about?"
"There has been something between you and me... Why do you acted as if the something never existed!"
"Because it NEVER existed!... Didn't you ever got it?"
The other 3 boys come out of their rooms.
"What happened here?" asked a sleepy Duo with his hair all messy.
Lindsay turn and look at the three boys.
"What happened?" she exclaim. "Happened that THIS guy *points at Trowa* is a jerk!" and slap Trowa on the face. "He used me like a toy and now, he want to just pretend nothing ever happen!"
The three boys look at Trowa, then at Lindsay.
"Nah!" the three exclaim in unison.
"Hump! The only thing I know here is that you all are a bunch of idiot!" the girl walk away mad.
"Yeah! Go and let us sleep you crazy ONNA!"
"Now, what have you done, Trowa?" asked Duo moving his head in sign of disapproving.
"Nothing!" he exclaim and hit the door one last time. "Quatre, we still got to talk!"
After saying this, the taller boy left.

Inside Quatre's room, Quatre is resting his back on the door. Tears coming down his cheeks.
"There's nothing I need to know... Yeah right." Quatre buried his face in his knees.

Wu Fei, Duo, and Heero are on the kitchen. They weren't expecting Quatre to cook them their breakfast... They didn't expected for the blond to even get out of his room.
"Man... As much as I can imagine, and what that girl said, I figure out that Trowa messed it really bad." commented Duo.
"Ah! I'd always said it... ONNAS just cause trouble!" Wu Fei cross his arms.
"Guys... I think we need to talk." Heero said. he two boys look at him stranged.

Quatre was walking downstairs. He had been crying all night long, and he needed to take so fresh air and talk with someone. Anyone ... He just needed to take out what he had on his chest.
Unfortunately, for Quatre, he had to meet with the person he less wanted to met with... And it wasn't Lindsay... But Trowa.
"Quatre..." Trowa call.
"Oh." Quatre exclaim, and turn around to head upstairs.
"Quatre... Wait!"
Trowa reach for Quatre's waist and hug him tight. "We need to talk."
Quatre push Trowa away.
"Please... just don't touch me." Quatre move away from Trowa.
"Quatre... "Trowa walk towards Quatre. "listen to me."
"No... No, I can't! It's too late Trowa... "Quatre look up at Trowa. "I gave you the chance... I gave it twice... For you to tell me what was going on, but, you just kiss me on the cheek and said everything all right... There's nothing you need to know, remember ?" remarked the blond boy.
"What... what are you talking about?" asked Trowa. Of course he knew what Quatre was saying, but he wanted to have a firm base.
"I saw you... I saw you two kissing... Outside of the house!" exclaim Quatre.
"Oh. That... She kissed me... It was nothing to worry about."
Quatre push Trowa. "You think so?... Do you got a clue of how much main I was through? How much internal conflicts!... The constant torture of loosing my trust to you!"
"Look, Quatre... If I didn't told you, it was because I didn't saw the need for you to knew it."
"You may have not seen it important to tell... But I did saw it important to hear, to know! But you hide it... Hide it as if it was some kind of sin!"
"OK... It was my mistake... and I'm sorry..."
"No! It's not that easy!... You think it is easy to just say I'm sorry... You think that I will just say i forgive you and everything would be just like yesterday... No!" Quatre hold his head. "I just can't close my eyes, and pretend that you never kissed her... That you never hid things from me... and that you never leave to go with her at nights... I still listen to my sobs... For sake of Allah, Trowa! Tell me why did you did it?"

In the kitchen, everyone heard the screaming.
"Is that Trowa and Quatre fighting?" asked Wu Fei.
"Oh. My god... I just hope Trowa don't kill him!" Duo run out of kitchen
The other boys went behind him.

On the stairs, Quatre and Trowa argue.
"She said that she was scared! How was I suppose to know she was making it up!"
"Oh. But good Trowa had to go to stay by the girl's side... Since when are you so kind, Trowa?"
"Since I found someone just like me! When they told me what that girl had been through, I practically saw myself... Someone alone in the world, and having to fight to survive."
"Trowa... that will never justify the fact that you never bother on waking me up at night and explaining me why you walked out of the room to go after her."
"You wanted me to awake you?... To what? Tell you, hey Quatre, I'm going to stay for a while with that girl because she's scared and she reminds me so much of myself that I don't want other person to pass through such desparating moments just like a did? Come come on Quatre!"
"You know, what Trowa... I really don't know what to think now... The only thing I know for sure... Is that you betrayed my confiance, and things will never be the same." Quatre head upstairs.
Trowa take his hand.
"Quatre... I also know one thing for sure... And that is that I love you, and if you leave me, I don't know what I'll do."
Duo sigh. "Beautiful."
Quatre pull his hand gently. "I also love you... And believe me... I don't know if I'd be able to keep it on without you." The blond went upstairs.
"Quatre... " Trowa whisper. "Please... don't go."
Quatre stop. He close his eyes and sigh. Then kept his way.
Trowa turn around. Heero walk to him.
"Trowa... I know this isn't the right time... But I need to tell you something... It's about Lindsay."
"You're right... This isn't the right time."

At Quatre's room, Quatre arrive. His cheeks soaking wet with all the tears, but he didn't cared. He reach under the bed and pulled out a bad that was hidden. He open the bad and the reach for some clothes on the closet.
"Why, Trowa... Why didn't you told me?"
Quatre started putting the clothes in the bag. He didn't cared if they weren't in order. He then stop and realize what he was doing. He throw all the clothes out of the bad and start packing again, just that this time, in order. He suddenly stop and throw himself on his knees crying.
flashback
Quatre is sleepy after "their first time" and Trowa is by his side. The green eyed boy kiss him on the forehead and whisper "I love you", but Quatre is too sleepy to listen.
end of flashback
Quatre wipes the tears on his eyes and then stand up. He reach for the bag and continue packing.
"I won't think on that..."

At Lindsay's room, the door open. There's no soul in there. The boys look around.
"Lindsay? Are you in here?" asked Trowa, holding his gun.
"She's not here..." Duo remark.
"Let's check the bad!" exclaim Wu Fei.
Horns and a little devil tail appear on Duo.
"Wuffie, you pervert!" He poke with his shoulder Wu Fei's chest.
"Don't be idiot, Maxwell! I meant that maybe she got something IN there!"
"Yeah right. " Duo turn his eyes.
"A girl who witness an Oz agent murdering her parents... That's a good disguise." commented Heero.
"Yeah, but you discover her, He-chan" Duo kiss Heero on the cheek. "You're my Hero!"
Trowa look around and spot a tape recorder. He listen at it. Mean while, Wu Fei searched for something on the bag.
"There's nothing here... She's clean!" exclaim Wu Fei.
"What!" Duo run to the bag and look at it. "Damnit! I was so sure that she..."
"Wait... There's a trick here..." Heero walk towards the bad and reach for it's bottom. "Agents are like magicians... The take out things... from where you see nothing." He pull out the bottom, witch was carton, and below was hidden communicators, a laptop and guns, with other strange tools.
Duo gasp at the sight of so many things. Most of them were totally new for him.
The door open and Lindsay walk in.
"What are you... Oh-oh."
"Someone get her!" yelled Heero.
Lindsay made a run for it, but Wu Fei caught her in time. She fall to the ground and tried to release herself, uselessly.
"Let me go! Let me gooo!" she look up at Trowa. "Trowa... help me."
"Good bye, Lindsay... or whatever is your name."
She smile. "It is Martha... and I really liked you."
"I'll take her to the base, with Dr. J... Someone come with me." Wu Fei hold the girl, making sure she wouldn't release herself.
"Oh! Heero and I will go... Come on, Heero!" Duo pull Heero's arm.
"But I got to do a report!"
"Come on, Heero!" Duo kept pulling Heero away.
So, Wu Fei, and Duo and Heero left for the base. There was just Trowa... and Quatre Trowa look up and realize he didn't wanted to loose Quatre.

Through the hall way, Trowa walk. He didn't knew what he'd say to Quatre. He'd said everything he had to say, there was nothing left to say. But he didn't care, the words would come at their time... What was important now was Quatre... Quatre, Quatre and nothing but Quatre.
When Trowa arrive to their room, he saw the door open. He didn't bother to knock and walk in. The first thing he saw was a bag, and then, Quatre... Facing the window, with the morning sun hitting him on the face. His golden hairs look more golden and his blue eyes, bluer. Trowa clear his throat so that the blond would notice he was there. Quatre turn around and saw Trowa.
There was a moment of silence. They just stare at each other. Hearts on hands.
"Quatre..." Trowa manage to say.
But he was interrupted by the blond. Who run to his arms and hug him.
"Nothing... I want to hear nothing... but that you love me, and that you need me."
Trowa's arms cover Quatre on an embrace. He rest his chin on Quatre's golden hairs and whisper. "I love you... and I need you."
Quatre rest his head on Trowa's chest. He heard his heart beating. There was no way Trowa would be laying... He heart told him that.
"Trowa..."
"Yes...?"
"Lets just... stay like this for a while.."
"Sure." Trowa kiss Quatre on the had and smile.
"I love you Trowa..." whisper Quatre.
"I love you too, Quatre."
